Perfect system to get the job done! It has room for improvement as follows: Extend the rear weight rack 1 1/2 inches as well as the front rack that holds the cross over cables. Reason 1. If you use the top weight rack the plate won't allow you to use the cable to the full extent as both plates hit each other. Reason 2. If you have plates on the smith bar and move your cables up or down you're likely to hit your knuckles between the hinge pin and plate. How this helps!

Works as expected

First things first: the assembly is not as difficult as some reviews are claiming. As long as you inventory all your parts and bolts and nuts prior to assembly you will be fine. Assembly time is 6 hours if you are methodical and double-checking everything as you go. I highly recommend a cordless drill and sockets or ratcheting wrenches in metric to speed up the process of assembly. The cable running was super simple as well.Second: some parts are not an exact fit as can be expected for lower-cost Chinese-made equipment QC/QA. This is just a fact of life and not a dig against the manufacturer. Temper your expectations of a finding a diamond in the rough. This is why I gave it 4 stars and not a fiver.Third: this machine will handle several hundred pounds of plates with ease. My only suggestion for the mechanically inclined or welder-types is adding another cross-support above the back crossbar to add rigidity to the upper assembly as it is prone to some swaying and may scare some users. However, it is fully functional and completely safe to use. One other suggestion would be to strap it down to the foundation of your setup area if you can. Some Redhead concrete anchors and four good steel straps will definitely prevent any potential movement of the rack if you are a meathead like me and pushing 600 lbs or more on the Smith bar. My setup has 670lbs of plates in total from my previous rack, so there is plenty of storage for extra plates aside from those provided.Fourth: the bench is pretty good. I was honestly expecting some flimsy garbage, but it is actually good. Very good footprint, hefty and extremely stable.Cons: come in several boxes that tend to arrive over 2 to 3 days.Seller was extremely good at responding to question and concerns.Again, for an entry level weight-lifter to advanced this is a good all-around set to purchase as it completely eliminates having to deal with franchise gyms and the headaches that usually accompany that. There is also peace of mind in being able to come home for a trash day at work or whatever and take out that stress on the weights.

Easy to assemble and I found if helpful to watch an online video of assembly prior to putting it together. Lay out all pieces and verify you have all the parts prior to putting it together. There is a list of all parts in the first few pages of the instruction book. This is a great value and does more than enough for what my family needed in a home gym. I ordered extra weights that were smaller in dimension which I prefer to use for some of the functions but certainly not necessary. Also order an olympic bar for bench pressing if you do not want to use the smith function for that excercise. Overall very satisfied with this equipment.

I really love the quality of this total home gym equipment. It is made of sturdy, strong, and reliable material. The assembly instructions were really simple and easy to follow. I love this smith machine with all its various functions. In fact, I cancelled my gym membership because there is really no need to pay for a monthly fee when I can workout with my home equipment. It is a perfect fit for my garage and does not take up too much space. I highly recommend this product!

I bought this product about 8-9 months ago to be able workout from home with hopes of cancelling my gym membership, but it was a fail. This smith machine bar is uneven and severely sticks on the left side (my left side when facing the machine). In order to push the up, I have to apply more pressure to the left side to get it to move. I tried doing squats but due to the unevenness of the bar, it got stuck one side and I had to fall to my knees and bail out. Product is not safe. Please advise if you have a fix. I have tried to fix it myself by taking it apart and putting it back together many times without success. I've seen other video reviews on this site indicating they had similar problems. I'm hoping they've been addressed with some type of fix by now. If you look at the pictures closely, the bar is uneven. The left hook is fully engaged but the right side hook is not engaged or flushed. It hovers above the metal post.

Great for my home gym. Suggest 2 people for assembly. Works great after using everyday for a year.
