As a former Anti Terrorism Security Specialist for the Military, I give this a 10/10
Hi Will here, using my wifes family account. I never write reviews, however this product exceeded my wildest expectations. I have tested every door stopper stick available on amazon and home depot and all have failed miserably. Some collapsed because the locking mechanism could be defeated by wiggling the door back and forth (The white one with lots of holes available here and home depot). Others could be defeated because the grip at the bottom was a virtual slip and slide providing zero resistance (SecurityMan)This Securadoor door stopper is exactly everything I hoped for and more. Its easy to assemble (3 parts), easy to measure and set (60 seconds), and just freaking works. I unlocked my front door and had my wife use the securadoor, which was set on tile. The only thing that would hold it back was the securadoor itself. When I tested it this thing held my weight even I pushed against it as hard as I could. I had to stop because I was concerned the door would come off the screws and hinges before this thing security bar failed. Absolutely amazing. Then I tested it in my main bedroom. There we have thick 1 inch carpet. I adjusted the securadoor bar to fit that door frame and once again my wife placed it. I was able to push in and create a half inch of wiggle room but once the securadoor engaged, that was it. That door would not budge any further, even on super thick fluffy carpet. Literally as good as it gets.If you are looking for a great security door bar, look no further than this. I literally cannot think of anything else to add or improve, that's how great this thing is. Its damn near perfect. You get what you pay for and the quality is as good as it gets. As far as I am concerned ...this is the only real security door bar in the market. Everything else is just a sad imitation that will get you killed. This amazing bar works and will stop intruders from breaking past your doors. The only problem with this is that the stick works so good now i have to replace all the screws in the door hinges as that is now the weakpoint. A great problem to have.11/10 Extremely Recommend.

Does The Job
Love it. Having this latched to my door helps give me peace of mind while going to bed. Holds great. Have tested several times. A couple times when we first got it, wanting to prove to my partner that I had made a smart purchase. Held better than expected. And still going strong. So strong that it's actually started denting my door a bit, the steel handle at least.Easy to set up and/or put away, doesn't take up space. Has a decent enough weight on it that if I decided to turn around and use it as a weapon on an intruder, it would do a good job of damage. But not heavy enough for an elder person to be restricted on picking it up, at least in my opinion. Loved it so much that I bought one for my mom, and planning on buying another one for when my little sister gets her own place.

It has REAL value But...
Ok...the good:1) It is Simple to deploy.2) Very Strong3) Has an Intuitive and Decent DesignThe Bad:1) I felt there was margin of error in the release handle - I would have liked to see another pin to "lock" the release handle into place and keep it closed when unit is deployed...in addition, I would have liked a manufacturers way to cinch the "Y" straddling claw to the any actual door handle. My Solution, was to use 3 velcro straps as shown in photo. One around door nob handle itself and wrapped that to the bracing unit itself...the other 2 around the release handle to make sure the hardest of pushes of vibrations dont pop the deployment handle....this is a major concern and solution - in my opinion. Ultimately I would have also liked to see full metal contruction.2) Although it appears at first blush that its not intended that the base is attached to the floor mechanically. You can tap the base snug with your foot...then depress the handle it will be super snug...but...if that makes you nervous like it does me...a few holes in the base...with some more of those nifty ball bearing cotter pins with rings on them for quick pulls and create a snug and secure mechanical anchor so the bar can be all that it can be...thats the road I'm going to take. Perhaps installing some metal sleeves into the floor flush mount... I haven't honestly decided. If it holds 1700lbs without attaching the base mechanically...I cant see a reason not to take this step. I personally will spend the time and effort to secure the base to the floor. It works better on a rough cement floor than slippery waxed hardwood floors as the base relies on friction footing...and carpets depending on pile height likely falls somewhere in between.Maybe a high pile can create a shelf or shear point for the base to brace up against...im not sure...I dont have a test case here.I got it to work reasonably well on my hard wood floors, but I don't wax my hardwood floors either.Get a feel for using it and deploying it... find the best length for your use case...and then, as for me...I'll mechanically attach the base to the floor and be able to release the base from the floor when you wish to remove barrier.3) The door Construction Matters, this won't be the weak spot likely...you need to use this with a good steel door...hollow doors will be a weak spot for this unit. This unit isnt going to stop someone with power tools and a desire to breach....but..THEY WILL LIKELY HAVE TO MAKE QUITE A BIT OF NOISE to get in...and a minute or two can count and give you the edge you need to address the problem directly.Act Accordingly.Update: in addition...I would recommend a thick elastic band to put constant pressure and kinda cinch the "Y" handle to the door knob...it may seem like a bit of work...to deploy...but it takes seconds...criss/cross on top first using rubber band under handle....Criss/Cross on bottom and follow up with lay flat on top the. Honestly.. the barrier...is now mint.I did attach to floor...I used some steel sleeves and bivy pins...made sure it was tight to the door -- before I drilled a single hole. This is an excellent door brace now and deploys in seconds!
