Good enough disordering station, fantastic seller & support
This station is fine. Are there nicer out there? Yes, but, not this cheap. It does the job and assuming you clean it - and I mean clean it after every session of use, with the cleaning rods, its fine.No one told me such constant cleaning was needed and that's how I doomed my first desoldering gun. HOWEVER, the fantastic seller (AIM Tools Ltd) was kind enough to send out a second desoldering gun for just the cost of shipping, which was really good of them.I plan on being much more diligent with cleaning this time around and have high hopes that the new gun will last much longer than its predecessor.Other than that the station does what it says on the tin. Sucks well enough, heats at a reasonable speed (maybe a minute or so of waiting, if that) and gets the job done. Can't ask for more really.

Bench definitely soldering gun excellent value for money
The unit comes very well packed with spare filters and nozzles .I connected the unit up and set the temperature of the tip and it was very quick coming up to temperature. I then applied a little flux and desoldered components of of an old motherboard. The results were excellent it is amazing for the price for someone who wants to desolder occasionally it really fits the bill. I do not know how long the tips last I will try it for a couple of weeks and review it again. The only niggle was lack of a front panel on off switch and that the rear switch was single pole ok it has a 3 pin iec but it is still good practice. The build quality was good and the electrical safety was very good passed Pat's test. I think the other reviewers were expecting a pace/hakko standard for general work it is excellent I hope amazon are going to carry the filters and the tips apart from that excellent value from an engineer

Very handy
The Amazon 'Rate features' rating request suggests that I offer a 1-5 star rating on 'Warmth' and 'Thickness' for this device, which makes no sense to me, but I'm pleased to offer a quick review based on my experience using the KATSU Tools 140W Desoldering Rework Station.I'm not sure where the 'Rework' part of that description comes in to play, but looking at it's principle function; desoldering circuit boards, the device is very good. The temperature control on the interface seems to be reasonably accurate. I've not measured the temperature on the tip in comparison with the displayed temperature, but the solder melts adequately and at pretty much the same temperate settings as my professional soldering station, so I'm confident it's pretty close. The suction motor is only activated when the trigger on the pistol-grip style head is squeezed, which is good. The suction motor is surprisingly quiet, I thought it would be much louder than it actually is, but if it was on all the time, it would be annoying. The solder head has enough thermal mass to hold the temperature in extended use desoldering multiple leads and the suction power seems sufficient for all the work I've used it for. I say sufficient, because a little more would be better, I think. However, the constant draw of air for de-soldering is hugely superior to the one-shot pumps I've used in the past. It's a neat little gadget that makes desoldering a far faster then the pumps I've used before. This device won't replace solder wick entirely, but with the bulk of solder being withdrawn using this device, my expenditure will undoubtedly be reduced. The package comes complete with a few spare filters, a couple pf spare tips and some cleaning rods, which is a nice touch, and the stand that is supplied for the desoldering tool is excellent; a heavy resilient metal construction that, unlike many of the ludicrously light-weight soldering iron stands I've come across in the past, is unlikely to fall over every time you use it.I've given a 3 star rating on the 'Value for Money' stakes as it's not clear how this device is so expensive. Having said that, what looks like exactly the same device (in varying different colours) sells for considerably higher cost elsewhere, so Amazon is able to offer a competitive price.Even given the perhaps inevitable markup on this rather niche product, for anyone who regularly spends time desoldering components from circuit boards, this device is a joy to use and it's a massive time saver.

Value for money
Works very well for through hole components. Good suction reasonably fast heat up to an accurate set temperature .Only problem is that the glass tube is difficult to remove without damaging the seals.Overall represents excellent value for money, would definitely recommend .

Genuinely surprised how good this is...
Update - After just under 3 months of very light use the pump has broken. But Amazon's return policy seems to have me covered.I was a little worried about buying something this cheap, but I've been pleasantly surprised. It works very well just removed about 20 capacitors from a PCB with it without any issue. It's basically a rebadged ZD‑8915 so spares are also very easy to come buy. Much cheaper here on Amazon than anywhere else I can find, seems to be the exact same thing. I only need it for occasional use, the build quality is good for the price and I would say it's perfect for the average hobbyist like me.

Pale imitation - spend some extra and get a hakko
Temperature readout is not accurate - my katsu rework station at the same registered temperature melts solder much easier - I suspect that it is not getting to the indicated temperature, and find I keep ending up having to preheat the joints with another iron before this will work.As another poster said the tube is easily blocked with molten solder - happened on the 2nd time i used it, cue 20 minutes trying to clear it which I could old do but aiding this with the hot air gun off my other katsu product. Very disappointed in this and will probably return it and spend the extra on a hakko - its knocked my confidence in katsu products.Update after three months: temperature on this seems to be dropping off even worse now - I'm finding I'm having to pre-heat all joints with a soldering iron in order to flow the joints enough for the suction to work. If I just use the desoldering tool itself half the time the tip sticks to the joint and I have to go back to the iron to free it up enough. Very disappointing. I'mm be probably complaining and sending this back now as its clearly unfit for purpose.
