Is the front mirrior lens suppose to look angled?

Mine looks the same way. I'm sure that its ok. It sure works great , shot a couple long beards with it.

Would this work with a 22 cal pellet rifle?

Yes it probably would, but the reticle is a bit large for precision work.

Does it have a riser or is it just the scope?

The scope has a permanent mount that attaches to the top rail of the firearm but it only rises the height of a standard scope.

can you buy just the lens covers?

Yes after market lense covers fit this.
