Upgrade your Pellet grill!
A little background, I am a hobby BBQ guy, I have had Stick Burner offset smokers, a locker style propane smoker, and a older Traeger. Each had it's challenges and advantages, each ultimately has been kicked to the curb. The Weber blows them all away. I know the Anti-Pellet smoker people are rolling there sooty eyes, but hear me out. The Weber Searwood 600 does it all well. the thing is an absolute tank. Typical Weber quality materials, heavy metal legs, with a tough powder coated finish, there are even additional brackets supporting the mounting points. The cook box and lid is enameled and so far finger prints and such just wipe off. Assembly took a little over an hour and was pretty straight forward, just need a little help to put the beast on it's feet. First cook was about 2 hours smoking (180 using Supersmoke) then searing a sirloin. And yes you can sear with it...it isn't 1000 degrees but it is enough to crust up and give some grill marks. Just make sure you wait for 10-15 minutes to come up to temp. The Wifi connected App helps with that...I sat in air conditioning watching the temp climb while the steak rested. The issue most have with pellets or chip burners is the lack of smoke flavor. Well the super smoke feature is pretty close to the stick burner...with far less ash or soot, and the temp stayed flat during the whole cook. Seemed to hold within 5 degrees or less. All this and it barely used any pellets. the sear function eventually got up to 525 degrees ( my lack of patience didn't allow me to see how high it would go). I have no doubt the 600 degree threshold is possible which would give a better grill mark and char. The taste was excellent, the gentle cooking kept the meat tender and the smoke flavor even after such a short smoke cycle was delicious. Beware, the sear will eat pellets at a substantially higher rate though as the burner is running pretty constantly. I am still unsure of the ash catcher, grease trap design, having it underneath the grill at least should help avoid the grease spills that happened with the Traeger. The usage is pretty intuitive, using the Wifi app makes it even easier and more visible to what is going on with the grill. The main concern I had was how to activate the VERY important shut down cycle. Easy to activate on the app , but a bit more difficult from the control panel. The internet proved to be a quick solution. This weekend I intend to do a longer cook, I don't have any concerns that it won't be great. My previous choices had weak smoke, difficulty holding temps or just an overly time consuming easy to fail process (offset I'm looking at you and those bitter chicken wings!). When I retire at 125 I might have the time to dedicate to the stick burner option, but until then this is the way! They addressed the concerns with the previous Weber pellet grill, went a little more traditional in the design and made a terrific package. You won't be sorry with this one.UPDATE: I am now more than a month in with the Weber and I love it. It has performed flawlessly, churning out chicken and rib and beef that outshine any of the previous grills I mentioned. My deciding factor between this and the highly rate Recteq was having a pellet dump. I have used it several times and am VERY glad I chose the Weber. I haven't done a brisket or other overnight cook yet, but this thing is so consistent, pellet efficient and easy to monitor I have no concerns...just need the mouths to feed! Still Recommend this grill whole hardheartedly!

Elevate Your BBQ Game: A Must-Have for Grill Enthusiasts
I recently purchased the Weber Searwood 600, a state-of-the-art pellet griller equipped with a Wi-Fi connection, and I could not be more pleased with its performance. As someone who has been seeking a safe and efficient grilling solution for my deck, the Weber Searwood 600 has exceeded my expectations in every way.* Safety and ConvenienceMy deck is exposed to direct sunlight for at least six hours a day, which made me hesitant to buy a gas grill due to safety concerns. I previously used a charcoal grill, but it was not convenient for regular use. Pellet grillers caught my attention as a safer alternative, and after extensive research, I decided to purchase the Weber Searwood 600. This decision was primarily driven by its impressive safety features and the convenience it offers.* PerformanceBefore settling on the Weber Searwood 600, I compared several other products, including models from Traeger and Camp Chef. While these brands are well-known, their maximum temperature of 500°F and the difficulty in achieving a proper sear made me hesitant. The Weber Searwood 600, on the other hand, addressed all my concerns with ease.So far, I have grilled New York Strip Steak and Spareribs, and both turned out exceptionally well. The searing on the New York Strip Steak was perfect, creating a beautiful crust while keeping the inside tender and juicy. The Spareribs were equally impressive, turning out juicy and smoky, with a rich flavor that delighted my family. During the Sparerib BBQ process, the Weber Searwood 600 maintained a set temperature of 225°F for six hours, which I set via the app. The grill automatically fed pellets to maintain this consistent temperature, ensuring perfectly cooked ribs.* Weber AppOne of the standout features of the Weber Searwood 600 is its companion app. The Weber app is not only impressive but also incredibly convenient. It offers a variety of recipes, complete with ingredient lists and step-by-step grilling instructions. This feature has been a game-changer, making exploring new dishes easy and achieving perfect results every time.* Final ThoughtsIf you are considering buying a grill, I strongly recommend including the Weber Searwood 600 in your shopping list. It combines safety, convenience, and top-notch performance, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking to elevate their grilling experience. The Wi-Fi connectivity and user-friendly app add an extra layer of convenience, making this grill a standout option in the market. I am absolutely satisfied with my purchase and look forward to many more delicious meals on my Weber Searwood 600.

Getting more than you pay for.
I've been using the grill for a month or two and all i can say is thank God for this grill. For the past eight years I've used pellet grills and to me this one is a game changer. It keeps temp no matter the outside temp. It's quick to get up to temp no matter where I set it.It has allowed me to do more complex styles of cooking such as crisping chicken after smoking at a low temp with ease.It is so rare to have a product exceed my expectations that I'm just amased.Cleaning is so easy I find I do it more frequently than I have with past smokers.all in all I just love it.

Good grill
I have to say since receiving this pellet smoker I have put it through it's paces and I love it. Only one issue. One of the screws holes in the side handle is machined incorrectly and will not allow a screw to go all the way in. This does not affect operation but is unsightly to stick out. I'm sure webber would send me a new one but..... I'd have to go through the hassle of a return and then the hassle of putting it together again, I just don't know that it's worth the effort so I will probably deal with it. Otherwise the grill is awesome and working great.

Solid
Came packaged well. Setup was not hard. I have now smoked a few briskets, pork shoulders, pizzas, burnt ends and everything has came out fantastic. I love my smoker.

What you would expect from a Weber, it's not trash
Easy to assemble, cooks food without creating unwanted fires. I had a pitboss, that didnt go well. The Weber holds heat better, goes thru pellets much less, the finish is your typical Weber finish that seems nearly indestructible and doesn't flake off from heat. It's not cheap but the quality says it all
