Months later still works. I was concerned about the transmitter leaking into the battery compartment (the top screws off and there is a pretty small gasket), but after several months in our 104 degree hot tub, it transmits from the lower outdoor patio to the 2nd floor receiver. For the money you cannot beat this...if it last long enough for me to have to replace the batteries again, I may use some high temp silicone on the battery compartment threads for some insurance.

I very much like this what this does, and rate it a 4 because it does exactly what I expect it to, so do not see a need to rate it a five. I wanted somehting to keep my pool water temp and outdoor air temp. this does that. There is a small removable magnet on the back that you can use to place this on a metal piece to hold it. I had perfect use for that, so that was advantageous for me.UpdateWell after less than 60 days the item failed. It no longer reports water temp. No idea why. Opened it up and no water entered the battery box and I changed the battery yet it no longer reports water temp.Second update.I called the manufacturer to trouble shoot the issue. They simply sent me a new sending unit. Cannot ask for much better customer service then that. Lets hope it lasts longer this time.

After reading so many 1 and 2 star reviews on Amazon I was hesitant to buy this pool temperature reader but so far after using it a couple months in my skimmer basket it is working great. I had no problem getting the inside unit to read the temperature and unlike my previous different brand unit it has never stopped reading. I’m giving it 5 stars and will update if I have any problems later.

Stopped reading water temperature correctly after one month of use as of today. I live in southwest Florida where temps are averaging 93 now in May. My Hayward pool heater thermostat says pool is 87.4 and a meat thermometer I use for my grill says the water is 87.6. The ThermPro says the temp is 80.1. Replaced batteries and ensured on correct channel. ThermoPro probe and digital device reader are only 20 feet apart and digital reader stays in shade on lanai. Still says water is 80.1. This thing was dead on in conjunction with my Hayward heater thermostat and meat thermometer for the first 30days. I should have listened to the other reviews who had same issue after about a month of use. I would like a refund or get the same item but it’s been 33 days since purchase date. 3 days over the 30 days I can return to Amazon for refund or exchange.

This is the third one I purchased The other two can't compare to this one The range is 500 feet and it does just what it says Haven't had a problem with it yet If your looking for a new thermometer this one ies well worth the purchase update iT STOPPED WORKING THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT GOT WATER IN IT I CALLED THE COMPANY SENDING ME A NEW ONE hOPE THIS ONE WORKS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS GREAT THE ONLY THING IS IT SHOULD HAVE A GASGET TO STOP THE WATER GETTING IN TO IT

Stay away from this product!!! The pool water temperature display stopped working. I figured the batteries were dead so I opened the floating unit and replaced the batteries. Still didn’t work. I shook the unit that hold the batteries and I heard water splashing. I removed the 6 screws and opened the electrical compartment and It was full of water. It can’t be returned. I bought it April 14th 2025 and it is now June 8th 2025. Even if this could be returned and replaced I would not want another one. This is my fault for buying a product made in China!!!!! This wasn’t humidity, it was a full blown water leak!!!!! UPDATE: I called the company and explained my situation and they mailed out a new unit that was supposed to be engineered differently for free. I will update again after using the new version.

Got mine a few days ago. Put it into the pool after syncing the transmitter and receiver. It’s very convenient to see the water temp from inside the house. The device tells me if the water is cold, hot, or comfortable.I had to tie mine to my ladder because it managed to go into the skimmer if I let it float with the current of the water. So far it is working as claimed and I’m happy with it.

Really liked the product. Unfortunately, the pool thermometer got wet inside the battery compartment. Call customer service and Corey Griffin not only sent me a replacement, but also filled me in on some other products I was shopping for. Thermopro stands behind their products...
