I have not benchmarked this drive against my previous Samsung 990 2TB but I will say this is working as well or better than it. Since receiving this drive I have reformatted my computer and made this drive my new boot drive. Boots seem faster (could also be an effect of reformatting) but I have not noticed any downsides. The drive slotted in well and lined up great with the heatsink that is included on the motherboard guard. I originally replaced my 990 because it seemed like it was giving me BSODs but it may have been a driver issue as I am not using it as a secondary drive without issue.

I was deciding if i should buy the heat sink version of this western digital nvme 1tb or the one without heatsink .It costed me few bucks more but was well worth it. ran crystal disk hard drive temp monitoring software and temp is 34celcius, at the max 40 celcius. my friend told me to get this particular model as it lasted him long time and he still uses it on his pc.

Went all in on a pc build last year, got two of these as my main storage. I do a lot of 3D modeling and Texture work, and I'm ashamed to admit, but I'm not very well organized with my files, but I have yet to start running out of space, and the speeds never disappoint. No issues within the last year and some change I've been using these, would absolutely recommend.
