Worth the money
I've had cast iron pans before. They're the best thing to cook in if you take the time to learn how to work with them. They also last forever (or until you move country, as I have done).

An absolutely outstanding pan
Lodge have really created an outstanding cast iron pan here! It's huge, stylish and very heavy duty! Just the other night I managed to cook 32 sausages in it for youth club.It is a bit pricey, but I think well worth the money. Would totally recommend it!

Great Pan
After reading some of the other reviews, I took care to spend some extra time seasoning my pan before first use (it is supposed to be pre-seasoned but I wasn't taking any chances). Due to the size of the pan, this had to be done on the hob as it doesn't fit in my standard oven. I've not had any problems at all with the pan and have so far used it to cook bacon, eggs, chicken, and some stir fried veg. I'm very pleased with it and it is good to be able to cook for the whole household in one pan in one go rather than slaving over the hot stove cooking in batches. I do use it on my extra large central gas burner where there is plenty of room.

LOVE IT!
It is very expensive, as I am from Canada, but worth the money! And will last forever! Finally I can cook dinner for our large family of 7 in one pan....and even better for when guests come over! Easy to use and clean, just follow suggestions that are provided or look up online. I think cast iron even makes my cooking taste better!

Ooh la la! Cooking for a crowd, here we come!
This is one BIG skillet! I added this one to our collection several years ago and LOVE it! It is great when cooking for a crowd. Its measurements are approximately 35.5cm diameter at the bottom, 43cm at the top and 7cm deep.Ever go camping and use one of the round camping fire pits with the grate on top? Take this with you? If at home, you will need to have two rings on your stove top on for it to work efficiently. Using your oven? Fits well in there. Although we use many of our other cast iron pans on our woodstove, this one is too big due to the placement of the stove pipe.With a large family I love the fact that we can cook a big batch of bubble and squeak, potatoes, scrambled eggs, stir fry etc in this pan. It is heavy BUT with two handles easy to lift with two cloths or oven mitts.Happy cooking folks! Once you start cooking with cast iron, you'll not look back! It's the best!

Warped base so doesn't work on induction
My first cast iron pan, researched extensively and decided to buy this one. First impression was good, but noticed that oil did not stay in the middle of the pan. After a couple of uses a placed my builders straight level on the base, there is more than half a centimeter concavity. The pan is not flat so most of the base does not contact the cooking surface ( induction hob), really disappointed
