The best gingival retraction cord I ever used
A gingival retraction cord is a specific tool or instrument that dentists use, typically during the preparation of the teeth during the common dental crown/bridge/veneer procedure, some composite restorations. The main purpose of a gingival retraction cord is to provide a dentist with a clear working view of a tooth prior to the dental procedure. This Gingi-pak gingival retraction cord is very easy to pack below the gum line and into the gingival sulcus, and around the specific tooth that has been prepared. It became my favorite and from know I am going to use only this retraction cord in my dental office.

Comparable to others
I have exclusively used Ultradent packing cord for many years. This is similar but not as closely woven. As a result I found it more challenging to push it into the sulcus without having it hang up on my instrument and pull back out. On the other hand, once it was successfully compressed into the sulcus, it seemed to stay there well, perhaps better than my usual one. I haven't made up my mind yet whether it will become part of my permanent armamentarium, but certainly worth a try out.
