Q: Does this come with any refills included.

Yes! It comes with our Dot Grid Refill. The refill has 72 pages of fountain pen friendly Tomoe River paper. The Field Journal can hold up to six refills and will also fit any standard A5-sized hardcover notebooks.

Q: I want to be able to print things from a computer and store in here as well as keep notes by hand. if i folded a 8.5x11 in half, would it fit?

Yes, it does. I have one and have tested it. The guy who said no must lack basic math skills.
