Plenty of features for the price
This board has two M.2 slots. That's a primary reason I picked it. Actually, it's got 3 but one's really for a WIFI card. Setup was easy and ASUS's use of UEFI features to auto-preload the BIOS update software in to Windows is quite clever. I'm not really a fan of the pointless white silkscreening design, but despite that the sockets are all clearly labelled. Reasonable clearances for the RAM from the CPU cooler. Just two rather than four SATA cables provided - fair enough really. "Just worked" in both Windows10 and Linux (Debian 10). Just be a little careful when installing in a case as this is a "narrow" board, so only has 6 of the possible 9 mounting holes in use - meaning that when you're installing the main power cable, it's not got any direct support at the board edge. Oh, and the orange backlit PCIex16 slots are a bit weird.

Great card and value!!!
Great card and value. I have nothing to complain about.I bought this motherboard to set up a PC that I use every day for everything (editing videos, playing games, studying, programming) and I had no problems so far I already have approximately 3 months. The lights come on and work. I saw some complaints about the lights, mine works well, although I don't care about that. I am attaching a photo of the whole machine assembled and you can see the lights on the motherboard along with those in the cabinet and memory. The motherboard is really good, works and meets my expectations. It has space for 2 SSDs and a smaller one.In addition to others connected to cables.I use it with a processor: Intel Core i7 9700K 3.6GHz Octa Core LGA1151 CPUAnd a SSD: Intel SSDPEKNW512G8X1 660P InternalAnd another SSD.

Good product
Solid Motherboard with nice designs, could use more fan headers but thats just preference. Other than that it works great.

Strong and Stable
This was a replacement for MSI board I bought which gave some issues. I needed something for an Intel i5 9600k and this fit the bill. I've had Asus products in the past, including a laptop, graphic card and even a mobile phone, so I knew it should be a dependable make. The Asus Z390 certainly looked the biz with 2 M.2 SSd slots, chipset heatsinks all round and plenty USB3 connectors. Installation was a doddle and its not missed a beat since. I would definitely recommend this as a reliable mid-range board for a strong and stable system.

Simple install and setup
Fitted i9 cpu, 32GB ram, Be Quiet air cooler, 2M.2 onboard drives, Nvidea 2700 gt1 video card open running perfectly quiet in an afternoon. Reason for purchase as PC Specialists Company provided a £2000+ new computer with a botched, damaged motherboard which appeared to have been fitted by someone with little knowledge, as it was damaged and bent as if forced into the case

Avoid with I7 or I9 CPU, VRM is cheap and it will ovrheat / overvolt
Avoid if you have I7 or I9 CPU!!! This MBO is designed for I3 max I5, VRM is really cheap and bad, just search on youtube VRM test with Z390 boards, conclusion is they should no exist.Terrible combination with power hungry CPU, my i7 8700 reaches 90C and MBO overvolts up to 1.38V by default on auto settings with tuned of turbo enhancement. After buying new mbo, tem with same cooler and setup is about 65C with lasted Prime95 (AVX tuned on) which is amazing result with Freezer 34 Duo.If you plan to buy K unlocked CPU or high level I7/I9 invest at least little bit more in Gigabyte Aorus Pro, first mid level mbo with decent VRM or higher level Asus boards.PS on good side Z390P works well with linux and ubuntu, no issue, if you plan to install Mac OS Mojave or Catalina prepare yourself for issues, latest bios versions brings issues, and its complicated to downgrade bios, even unsecured since new versions brings lot of patches...
