A bargain - get one before they've all sold
I felt I was taking a risk buying a stringed instrument without seeing or playing it first. I played a br-60t in a local shop and decided it was the right tenor guitar for me (bearing in mind I didn't have a couple of thousand to spend) but didn't buy it there because Amazon had it on sale for £200 less. So, I took a chance and ordered one online... and it was a risk worth taking! It sounds as good and plays as well as the one I tried: I prefer a more mellow tone but I need this to play acoustic gigs and volume takes precedence so I had to pass by the sapele soundboards and opt for spruce instead. As a baritone ukulele player I'm finding the strings a little piercing, so I'll be experimenting with other sets to see if I can mellow the tone without losing power, but even straight out of the box it's the best tenor guitar I've tried costing less than £850.Edited to add: The more I play this, the more I love the sound. I changed the bridge pins and found some strings I prefer and I now like it so much I'm getting a pickup fitted for gigs which need more amplification. If you buy one and you're looking for a case, the Gator 3/4 size hard shell is the most perfect fit.
