Does the job intended.
This single outlet is simple to install and works well. The instructions provided are well written and makes the job of installation easy. The included hole saw completes the package and was perfect for the do-it-yourselfer. I have installed two of these, several years apart, and they are both used frequently.. The pop-off cover is much more practical than the old screw-on covers that were used many years ago on similar products.

Living room floor use
Installed three units in a wood floor on opposite ends of couch. I used the 120 volt plugs for two of them. I only wanted one outlet for each. The third I used to route low-voltage wires to old-school stereo (coax, audio, fiber, speaker). While they look nice, furniture will hide them.

Drop In Recepticle is Great but....
Recepticle is great but the hole saw that is included with the package is not high quality. I had to purchase a better quality hole saw to complete the job. The one included in the package wore it self out about 15 seconds into the job costing me $28 for a new hole saw/arbor to complete the job (plus 45 minutes to get the new hole saw). If you are ok with the possiblity of the included saw not being able to complete the job, the drop in recepticle works great. I would purchase again. Hope this helps!

Broken retainer
It seems the retaining ring has broken, causing the reception to pull out of the housing. This was a replacement for the original replaced in 2019. I would like to purchase a receptacle to replace the broken part but it seems it’s not available.

nice product, quick delivery
Good product, we had it installed but it didn't take very long once the hole was made. Solid metal on the piece that sits on the floor, quite sturdy and good looking. We wanted a small unit that didn't require a big hole as it sits in the middle of the floor, and this one is perfect. The seller, ADVENTURER'S BAG, was super fast. We received the product in 3 days instead of the estimated 6-10.

Quick install and nice small form factor above floor
Easy install. Looks great. Nice, small form factor above floor. Does not require access from ceiling below to install, unless you need access to run your electric lines. Reviews are accurate about drill bit. Not a great bit, but I was able to get through 3/8 inch floating floor plus 3/4 inch plywood sub-floor. Installed two, buying two more. Installation note: If installing in the middle of a run, the bottom cap does not support two wires, but easy enough to use wire nuts, tape the wire nuts, tuck connections inside plastic tube and use electric tape to cover the bottom, instead of using the cap. Otherwise, field modify the bottom cap with a dremel tool or similar.

Loved this product so much, we bought a second one.
First one was used for LAN/Coax is under our entertainment cabinet and the installation was so easy, that we bought a second one for 110v power under our floating cabinet because I was tired of running power cords across the floor. Especially with little kids around. This was installed where we have a floating wood floor so I can't comment on how this would work on carpeted floors. My only complaint, a minor one, is that the hole cutting bit provided on the second one failed so I had to use the hole cutting bit from our first one. This was partial my fault as I never checked the set screw and I believe this was the issue.I have absolutely no reservation recommending this to anyone looking to add LAN/Coax or 110v connection points in a hardwood flooring situation.
