Washboard Washing Clothes Hand Wash Board - Bucket, Basin for Laundry, Lime

I bought this because, due to the pandemic, I do not feel comfortable using the shared laundry room in my complex and I'm looking for easy ways to hand-wash necessities in my apartment.That said, I knew going into it that this was a small bowl. Anyone complaining about the size didn't pay attention to the product dimensions. I purchased this so that I can easily wash a few pairs of underwear in my sink, not to wash an entire load of laundry. You simply can't wash larger items in this bowl. They won't fit.But for a few pairs of underwear, socks, or a bra, this product is PERFECT. The little washboard in the center really helps to scrub small items like underwear in a way that you can't do using just your bare hands. I can wash about 4 pairs of underwear at a time with this.I also like that you don't have to scrub down your whole sink just to wash a pair of underwear. Much easier to just wash this bowl like you'd wash a normal dish in your sink. It keeps things easy, clean, and fast.This bowl isn't made of the best plastic, but it should last a long while if you handle with care. It's not paper-thin plastic, but it's also not that high-end, indestructible plastic. It's somewhere in the middle, so just pay attention to how you store it and you should get many, many uses out of it. I hope this helps anyone who's trying to find laundry solutions right now.UPDATE: This bowl has been working GREAT for washing my cloth masks! I fill it full of hot water with a splash of laundry soap, get a nice lather going, and then soak a few of our masks in the soapy water for about 15 minutes. Then I gently use the built-in washboard to give them a good scrub. After that, I drain the water, fill the bowl with cold water and let my makes soak again. Finally, I drain the water and give the masks another final scrub and rinse, and my masks are nice and clean, ready to hang overnight in the shower until dry.

Perfect size washboard. Basin is part of it. Can set in any sink or on any counter. Love the fact it has a slot to hang it by. I leave mine hanging in the laundry room on the wall next to my clothes washer. Sturdy construction.

Well, it's a bit small and doesn't hold much water at all, but the ramp washboard idea is great so that it mostly works. I recommend using it over a sink because it's tricky to use without spilling soapy water out of it! You can't wash jeans in this bowl or it would take forever, but you can wash underwear or work uniform polos in it, which is what I do when I don't have enough laundry for a load in the washing machine but need clean work shirts! If you use "elbow grease", it will get your shirts as clean as a washing machine - I could even get pen marks off of my shirts using this washboard bowl without any pretreatment! This washboard bowl is made of thick, sturdy plastic, too. Basically, my only complaint is that it's too small. I am happy with this product otherwise!

This is now one of my favorite Amazon purchases, I’m just disappointed in myself for not thinking to buy sooner! This is beyond amazing for scrubbing & soaking my Little’s undies and also clothing that is stained with chocolate or just downright dirty from preschool (she is 4). I wish I would’ve had this when we did potty training last year! I was discouraged & exhausted trying to clean undies that she had accidents in (both #1 AND #2). This would’ve saved me SO much time & energy back then, but it’s still just as useful now! You can easily hand wash lingerie, undies, bras, & anything that needs a good scrubbing with stain remover before going in the machine. Yes, this is small & you can’t do a whole load of laundry in it (why would you want to?), but it’s durable, effective, & exceeded my expectations! Highly recommend!

Too small, nice for undergarments but not anything larger

So one day my wife asks me to handwash all of our cloth facemasks. My reaction is "You've go to be kidding?!" She then proceeds to explain to me that some of her masks are fragile and she doesn't want them hurt. So i wash all these masks (we are a family of Four), and I'm thinking there has to be an easier way. So i go online and find these old fashioned sheet metal, shapped with ribs, washboards held together with wood. Basically your classic washboard that you'd think a mom in 1875 would use to wash her clothes. So I see these things are like $30 and up, and then you have to get a large bucket to use it with. I was thinking "This is nuts and small fortune". Then I happen to come across these small buckets with a washboard molded into them. I see the price of $12-$14 dollars, and see pictures of them fitting inside a kitchen sink and I was sold. I find them very easy to use. I have been able to get all of our cloths masks very clean. Its easy, the dirt comes out of the masks, I rinse out the bucket, and put it back under the sink. I would highly recommend getting one of these. One more thing. This thing is solid. Not cheap thin plastic, but thicker solid plastic. Its made to last for years.
