Great build quality but does not fit Panasonic cameras
Great build quality, but this does not fit properly on the Panasonic GM5 and GX85 (and likely won't for non-Sony RX1 cameras). It will enter the hotshoe, but it won't enter all the way because of how it's designed. You're welcome lol (for my being a guinea pig)

This little piece is very useful. To be compact
This little piece is very useful. To be compact, I use this instead of other kinds of bigger grip. It works to keep steady shot. If not for seldom use of a flash, I always benefit from this thumb grip. Hope one day though, that I can get a thumb grip with pass through hot shoe so can use with flash seamlessly

A must have
This thing helps provides a more secure grip for your camera. You can hold it with one hand with no worries.

Quality is poor compared to commodity prices
Quality is poor compared to commodity prices. It does not fold well. When you unfold this, you can scratch the camera body.Considering the price of RX1, this is a fatal drawback. But considering the price of a genuine thumb grip, it is an attractive item.

Not as good as it could be
Woah.. thats pretty bad, a straight copy of Tim Isaac's "thumbs up" grip, only FotoDiox did not manage to make it as simple, clean or well done. I have both and have to say, stick to the original.

$39 Seems like a lot. It's not. This is really well made and exceeded my expectations.
I put this on my RX1RII and it works perfectly. Nice crisp snap on the hinge and perfect fit.

A great addition to the RX1Rii
The Sony RX1Rii is small, slightly front heavy, and not the easiest to hold for long periods of time. Combine this with the amplification of hand movements inherent with high resolution sensors, and this can be a challenging camera to use. This thumb grip adds an incredibly useful amount of stability.......for a 6th the price of the official Sony bit of kit. A real win!
