Off Brand Product Surpasses the Popular Brand Names!
I am writing a follow up review on this keyboard over FOUR YEARS after my purchase. After my most recent software update, it finally bit the dust and is no longer working. With the exception of it slipping a little off the connectors, and the “backbone” not staying stiff, it worked great and I had no issues. (I tore the cover off an old notebook binder to use as a base for stabilization. Problem solved!) I’m hoping the company will help me get it going again, but if not, I guess 2017 to 2022 wasn’t a bad run!—————————————————————This is an initial review because I've only had the case for 4 days. I just wanted to give my first impression so I can compare it to how the case performs 6 months from now.I type a lot in my occupation (legal secretary) and just can't get used to the virtual thing on a regular basis. I need a keyboard case for my 10.5 iPad Pro, which I'm constantly using when I'm not at work. These are the things I looked for when I was shopping around:1) I wanted a keyboard at least as large as my iPad with full size keys in a U.S. Qwerty layout (some of them were up to an inch shorter than my iPad and had the "up" arrow key and the shift key in awkward places that made it difficult to type)2) I wanted beveled sides or built-in rubber protectors on the lip so my iPad screen wouldn't have direct contact with the keys when the case was closed. (I have a Zagg InvisibleShield Glass+ protector that kept cracking while using my old Fintie keyboard case. While Fintie is an excellent case, they don't have bevels or protective rubber stoppers for the screen.) This Mangotek case does require a bit of care when closing because the bottom half of the iPad swings free once it is disconnected from the magnet/smart connector, but if handled carefully, the case closes without a problem.3) I wanted keys that felt as much like typing on a regular office keyboard as possible. (These keys resemble laptop keys, so the strokes are shorter, but they're not hard to get used to since the keys are full size.)4) I wanted a keyboard that would make it easy for me to hold on my lap. This keyboard has a smart connector on the side and a strong magnet that holds the iPad up when placed on a table and does okay when you're holding it in your lap. It only has one angle at which you can prop it, but that angle is comfortable enough for me to type and watch movies. I don't need the 90,000 angles that other cases boast they have. All that being said, I was limited in my choice of cases because there are only so many out there made for iPad Pro 10.5 (Model A1701). If I wanted the latest and greatest case, I would have had to go out and purchase a newer (and bigger) iPad. No, not gonna happen - not for a while, at least. Here's what I found: Zagg's Slimbook didn't even make it out of the starting gate with me. I had used their Folio with my older iPads and they ALWAYS broke at the hinge within 6-9 months of constant use. I read many reviews on the Slimbook and what did I see? Broken hinges. Been there, done that, not doing it again. Logitech was my second choice, but I couldn't get myself to try it because of the prop on the back of the case - I didn't think it would be very stable while holding it in my lap. (But it's still a contender if Mangotek takes a nose dive.) That left Brydge and all the off brands on Amazon. I didn't want to mortgage my house to buy a Brydge and their required iPad back cover (because, presumably, nothing else works/fits when using their case so you have to buy one from them - nice racket, eh?) All the off brands I saw had one or more of these problems: 1) keys or keyboards were too small or had keys in weird places; 2) had reviews where people said they had trouble with Bluetooth connection or keys/hinges breaking; and 3) no bevels/rubber stoppers to prevent screen touchdown. I also was a little wary of some of the creative ways the iPad part of the case connected to the keyboard part - some of them didn't look very sturdy and probably would have broken within a couple weeks of heavy use.Mangotek is the only case that was left - so by process of elimination, I bought it. After four days, it has worked flawlessly. I'm not saying that, if I drop my iPad, that it will protect it from irreversible damage. I don't think it can do that. But I didn't buy it for protection, I bought it for the functionality. So if I'm careful and don't drop my iPad from any 20-story buildings or throw it in my car in my haste to get to work every day, this case should do everything I wanted it to do. I'm hoping for a good 18 months to 2 years of use out of it (at least) for the $75 I paid. I will revisit this review in 6 months and write an update.

Warranty Not Honored for Missing Key
I bought this keyboard back in April, 2019. Used it sparingly for work and leisure and had no major concerns. Once the “L” key fell off and I re-attached it. Used it a little longer, and about a week ago, I realized the “L” key is missing again. Except this time, I was not able to find the missing piece. This product comes with a one-year warranty, so I contacted the seller for a fix.The response I got was, “We are sorry there is no single button to fix. Regards, Mangotek”That was all. What an irresponsible answer is this? No info on where to get the key, no info on repair or replacement options. I paid $80 for this product still under warranty, and Mangotek is telling me to go pound sand. I am not able to use this keyboard as intended...it’s practically a junk to me without the frequently used “L” key. Buyers be warned - you are on your own if keys go missing.

Good keyboard - Works out of the box.
If you are looking for an affordable keyboard for the iPad Pro, this does it.However, if you are used to the Apple keyboard, you will find this lacking. It is not as slim as the Apple keyboard and the keys are more "sticky" - takes a little more effort to type.No issue with connecting and working out of the box.Just don't compare it with the Apple keyboard, or if you do, as I did, then bear in mind that it costs a fraction of the Apple keyboard and come to terms with it.

Longevity of Keyboard - Returned Previously for Smart Connector Problems
4/5/2020The replacement keyboard was received on 2/24/2020 with no problems. On or about March 26th one of the keys no longer fully functions. The Apostrophe does not work, but the Quote does work.........Strange since both use the same key. As a workaround I disengage the smart connection and then use the virtual keyboard to type the apostrophe and then reconnect the smart connector to go back to the Mangotek keyboard. In the grand scheme of things this failure is a minor nuisance, but it does raise the issue of the longevity of the keyboard. I primary use the keyboard for text messages an e-mails, so i wonder if a more heavy user would have more failures. I emailed company about the problem and now I’m awaiting their response. With the COVID-19 problems, I don’t realistically expect an expedious reply but.... who knows.Previous ReviewThe good news is the keyboard operated as advertised. The bad news is the keyboard died after nine months, but I guess that's "good news" because Mangotek readily replaced the keyboard because it had a one year warranty.I very much like the smart connector aspect of the keyboard, but I only rated the keyboard as a "3" for Sturdiness and Durabiity because it died after nine months. The replacement arrived today and it worked instantly. Based upon what happened to the first keyboard I have my fingers crossed for durability. I wished I could rare it 3 1/2 stars,
