These worked well. I used them mainly on wood trim and wood railing - luckily colors matched. For some areas, I mixed the marker with some liquid scratch remover I had on hand. If the color isn't quite right, I found if you wipe it off immediately, it lightens it and then it was OK. Just a heads up - the markers are best for smaller jobs. I got carried away once I started, and the 2-3 markers I used ran out. Overall, recommend and price was good.

Soooo…long story short, dear daughter knocked over a bottle of pure acetone on the coffee table, and the first pic reflects the outcome of that little fiasco. 🙄I got these markers to see if I could improve the situation at all. Not a fan of the crayons, but the marker did a decent job of covering everything (2nd pic), however, the surface was still pretty dull (I expected this since it’ll need a coat of semi-gloss to get that) and where I stopped using the marker showed, so I decided to use old English to see if it would improve matters (3rd pic).Final result is the last pic—I didn’t have high hopes due to the initial incident, but it actually turned out really nice. There wasn’t an exact match amongst the color options but I’m ok with that. I did choose a marker with a significantly different colored cap so you may need to do a bit of experimenting. I’m going to take my markers and go around and touch up everything else. Solid purchase, imo, even without the crayons.

Neither the marker pens or the crayons were of any use on the patch that tried to repair. I wasted my money. it seems like the marker pen were empty. The crayons simply would not stick to anything.

Despite our consistent efforts, it took almost a year to teach our new dog to not jump up on the back door. And as you can see in the first picture, he managed to do a lot of scratching. That's why I bought this marker kit, to repair those scratches. I used "oak," a lighter color, on the scratches. I did have to go over them again to completely cover them. That's what you see in the second picture, and it took me about 10 minutes total. I bought the kit with the wax crayons as I hoped to fill in the scratches too but that didn't work. I read in another review that it's possible but takes a lot of work. Unless I'm looking for the defects, I no longer notice the scratches (and mind you, these are at eye level) so this did the job I wanted. I bought the bigger pack because I have white painted dining room furniture with scratches. I tried the white marker on a chipped spot. I put on coat after coat, and then tried the white crayon. Well, if you're not looking for the chip, at least it's not as obvious but it didn't fill in the color as I would have hoped.
