Apple iPad mini MD529LL/A (32GB, Wi-Fi, Black)

I bought this for myself March 2016. Went on vacation July 2016 and all was well then while I was on iPad it turned off and will not come back. I didn't spend this kind of money for it to work for 4 months. I ended up taking this iPad to a phone surgeon store, paid $30 for them to look into it and see it can be fixed, which it cannot, this is what was found (see picture below)They plan to write a review of their findings, I will post when I receive. Digitizer was out on iPad. LCD connector had been shorting for some time and was melting the inside, as well as around the inner sides. You can see this in the photo. The man from the phone surgeon store also expressed it was his opinion that this would have been known prior to them "refurbishing" it and that I got ripped off. I know I took a chance on purchasing a refurbished iPad but I feel as if I put my trust into the wrong place and I am posting this so maybe I can help others not make the same mistake. I sometimes expect people to do the right thing and not be greedy, therefore placing my trust where it is not belonged, this definitely being one of those times.

I purchased this for school for my middle schooler. It arrived on time and it's pretty good condition but the screen had a darkened streak on the bottom of the screen. Not a big deal it's refurbished but after turning it on I realized it is extremely slow. Like so slow it takes 5-10 seconds after typing something for it to show up. And that was with absolutely nothing but factory apps on it. It was so slow to do anything that it was pretty much unusable. I purchased the black version for one of my other kids at the same time and even though it says they are pretty much the same the black one was so much better! I was able to return for a full refund without any issues so that's the reason for the 3 stars. If you're not worried about speed then it's a nice little tablet but if you need one that works decently then go with a different one. It's possible that I just got a bad one but from what I've heard from other people it's hit or is with this version of the iPad mini.

Honestly, the reason I bought the iPad mini 16G, WiFi was: one, it can fit in one hand; two, it is cheaper than a new iPad; and three, because I wanted it.So: I've stated that I'm a loyal Apple customer and probably will be the rest of my life. It might be that I'm biased when it comes to Apple products as are a large majority of Apple customers.I was apprehensive at first about the display. When I found out the Mini wasn't using a Retina display, I nearly didn't buy one. I love the beautiful resolution of my iPad 3.Apple used the same 1024-by-768 as the iPad 2, BUT the screen is 7.9 inches. In my opinion the display resolution is great. Not iPad 3 great, but not as bad as I thought it would be. I have to agree with Apple and say that the 7.9 inch screen is perfect for a smaller tablet. +1 for MiniThe Mini is 53% lighter than the iPad and 23% thinner--not a major selling point for me, but not a distraction either. +1 for MiniThe iSight 5 megapixel camera takes great pictures and shoots decent movies for what it is. I've tried out the FaceTime and it works great--picture resolution is adequate. +1 for MiniSpeed: The dual-core A5 provides this device with plenty of computing power. I was impressed as I thought the Mini's speed would suffer as Apple was attempting to cheapen the product a bit. It didn't. Internet surfing is lightning fast! +2 for MiniI'm satisfied with the battery life. Apple says that the Mini has ten hours of battery life and they're pretty close. +1 for MiniI love the aluminum unibody cover. The thing is sweet looking: sleek, like I'm in a sci-fi movie using some futuristic device. I heard one dude say it's sexy. I'm not sure that I'd go as far as calling a hunk of aluminum, glass, and plastic sexy, but it is easy on the eyes. Apple nailed it on the aesthetics of the Mini. +2 for Mini

I only have this thing because I need it for beta testing a few specific apps and similar. The screen is great, the battery life is quite good, it feels good in the hand, there's a lot to like there.But everything good about it is the parts that aren't Apple. All the cons are from Apple.I hate the OS, it's clunky, glitzy, junk that can't handle split screen properly. (I spent two hours trying, reading off an online tutorial, and the split screen mode on this does NOT work as advertised. There is no way to have two apps side by side without one overlapping the other. Tapping on the one in the background to bring it to the fore will completely hide the overlay app, no side by side. I would rather multitask on my Android phone, it's easier and actually works)I wish this thing had an SD card slot, but that's too smart and too useful to be in an Apple product.I'd love if they replaced the Lightning connector with USB-C--even Micro USB would be okay, at least then you could USE IT AS A USB PORT.And even with a flash drive SPECIFICALLY MADE to be compatible with iOS, and the Lightning port, this thing cannot figure out how to manage files in an intelligent way.If there was an Android tablet with this screen, this battery life, a USB-C port and SD card slot, and the magnetic smart cover thing? I'd buy it. But as it is, with it hamstrung by iOS and a lack of basic functionality like standard ports and memory card slots, there are a lot of better options for cheaper.

The iPad Mini arrived in better condition than I expected, complete with Lightning-USB lead. The battery lasts longer than I expected. From the reviews I expected the screen resolution to be poor but it's fine. So all good and I'm delighted with it.

I love my ipad and use it loads.

... erfüllt die Erwartungen.Wir haben das mini als Lernhilfe für unsere 12-jährige gekauft. Dei Nutzung ist wie bei allen Apple-Produkten intuitiv. Die Akkulaufzeit ist angemessen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist (für uns) sehr gut, was aber auch am Warehouse-Deal lag.Wir würden wieder kaufen.

Seemed like a good product to order for our grandsons for Christmas. Once they started using it, it did not have the ability to download most of the games or apps……as I later found out although we purchased it new in 2019 it was not the most up to date platform. Both the grandsons & myself ended up being very disappointed in these 2 iPads ordered. ☹️☹️

Compré la tablet aprovechando que su precio estaba en $3.100 y me ha gustado mucho.Estaba buscando un modelo que tuviera buen rendimiento sin necesidad de comprar las de última generación. La uso principalmente para ver videos, navegar y leer y ha sido el modelo perfecto.Preferí comprar esta que es un modelo viejo a una de Android del mismo precio porque según mi investigación ofrecía rendimiento similar, además que quería probar como van las tablets de Apple. Ha sido una buena experiencia.
