Japan WaZaki Hybrid Utility Iron Set USGA R A Rules Golf Club

I had to change my golf game because of a debilitating illness. I can no longer swing a golf club in the normal fashion like I used to - most notably my irons. I purchased these hybrids to make it easier for me to hit the ball with my now limited swing and swing power, and I can say these are awesome clubs!!To start with, I gauged my club distances based off of my irons - basically just using the hybrid equivelant of the iron I would have used in the past (example - 8 hybrid in place of my 8 iron). Then, I adjusted from there. What I found was that I could hit these hybrids well - something I was no longer able to do with my irons. I was also getting WAY more yardage out of these hybrids than I did my irons - even with my now limited swing and swing power. My normal 8 iron shot is now my 9 hybrid shot (pretty much the same all the way through each of the hybrid sizes). It feels very good to be able to hit the ball so cleanly, and straight again - something I am no longer able to do with my old iron set.These clubs have helped me enjoy golfing once again, and I am very impressed by their quality, price, and looks! I get compliments on the clubs every time I play now!

Pretty good product. Actually blue in color, not black, but quality was actually better than expected. Had to adjust swing weighting on all 8 clubs to get to D3/4 and changed grips to normal size. They came with what I would consider lady's sized grips. Head covers were nice but too large to fit into either my cart bag or walking bag and ended up using socks instead of supplied head covers. Same distance as with my normal irons, but it has been nice to see that my bad shots are not quite as bad. If you like hybrids over regular irons, I'd recommend these clubs and the price is very, very reasonable. I'm 71 and carry a 7 handicap.

I purchased the Wazaki gold hybrid irons, 5 wood and Cyclone 77 10° driver and played 5 rounds in the Kissimmee and Orlando Florida golf courses and extremely happy. I'm a 19 handicap 70 year old regular golfer and only first outing at Orange Lake Legends course I scored 83 with an eagle on the 11th long par 5, 120 yards 3rd shot holed in. Call it luck but it is what it is.Performance of the irons is they are consistent and because they are hydrids they just brush the fairway grass pick-up the ball no divot. Ball flight is high and stops on the green with 3 short hops.The driver is consistent and straight same distance as my Ping driver but straighter and consistent 220 yrs.The 5 wood flight is high and long 190-200 yrs. Straight consistent.Only issue is the gold finish is wearing off, actually transferring to the ball. Not a big issue and does not affect performance.For the price I did not go wrong. I have 8 iron sets and this the cheapest and my current favorite. I love it. Let's see how durable they are but they are guaranteed 5 years so I'm not worried, quality of finish is excellent. On the bag is my old Ping driver i15 and Mizuno MP52.Now I play Wazaki and very satisfiedTry it and see how it work for you.

The heads are great. I don't like the shafts; the twist is so much that I have to aim right a lot to get them straight (I compared the "push" to my last irons). But, I hit them about 10 yards further than my previous irons! I'm getting ready to re-shaft them, and then I'll truly have game changing irons.

Not everyone hits irons well enough to have a consistent & pleasurable round, so hybrid irons were created. These just arrived so I'll post another review after I have a chance to hit these, BUT out of the box these are beautiful clubs that aren't only smart looking but are well made, too. The ultra blue and black finish is quite nice. Additionally, the packaging on these was great, ensuring no possibility of shipping damage.The shafts seem to be a little stiffer than I prefer (senior flex would be a good option) but I suspect this will not be an issue. The head covers are retro in as much as they have a glossy finish, but by experience with these type of hybrid irons is best to protect the heads so they don't age prematurely - all in all, a great buy. Don't be afraid to pull the trigger on these.** An update. After a couple of practice rounds I'm getting accustomed to the new hybrids - Still satified!

Very heavy set of golf clubs club did not line up square everything going to the left not for me. I returned them after nine holes of golf very dissatisfied.

I really enjoy these clubs. They really look great. Its nice that they come with headcovers. I got brown leather headcovers. Not the sticky vinyl ones. They are nice but fall off pretty easily so be careful. You definitely need a larger type cart bag to fit them all. I quit golf many years ago because I couldn't hit an iron. I'd literally shank it every time. With Covid-19 I decided to get back into golf again. I've always wanted to try "wood" irons because I never had a problem hitting fairway woods. I'm really glad I did. I love these clubs. They are just so easy to hit and hit straight. I haven't had any problems with paint chipping off like others have said. But I always use the headcovers. I will say, I used the sand wedge in the bunker and it did take all the paint off and scratch the bottom up. I kind of expected it would. I recently played with someone who also hadn't played in years because like me they couldn't hit irons. Halfway through the round I told them to give these clubs a try. They loved them and played the rest of the round with them. They hit them great too. Nice and straight. They went and bought them the next day! So distance wise. I hit the SW 100-110yds. PW 120-130yds. 4H about 175yds. Just going off the ones I've used the most so far. I really wish I could get a WaZaki 3 wood and 5 wood!
