The best, cheapest and most effective basketball training aid you could ask for
I bought these for my 10 year old daughter who is very passionate about basketball. She constantly has a ball in her hands she’s twirling, dribbling or shooting. I saw them using these goggles at practice a few weeks ago and figured I’d check Amazon to see if I could find a pair. I was pleasantly surprised at the price and the quality. There is nothing I can complain about at all.The lower visual field is blocked, but they can still see everything else perfectly. My daughter spends at least 10 minutes a day just walking and running dribbling with these on. It’s already made a difference in her ball handling. She was really clumsy at first with the ball, but now she’s learning to dribble without visual cues and only by feel and anticipation. As far as the fit, I’m really glad it’s a strap, rather than traditional glasses. The strap is adjustable and very stretchy. We have no problems with them sliding off or being uncomfortable in any way. The goggle portion is semi flexible, so it’s great for players of all ages. They fit my daughter, husband and I all well.Overall, everything about them is perfect. I couldn’t have asked for more. For the price I wish I would’ve ordered a few more to have laying around to give out the people.

New player
Great product for the new player who is still learning the fundamentals of basketball. My husband also tried these out and was impressed by the quality of the item. The cost was also acceptable for the product when compared against other brands.

My players love these
I have always seen these but never purchased until this year. I am coaching a team that struggled to dribble with their eyes up, last year so this year I wanted a way to help them out. The kids thought they were "funny" at first and then went on to "hate them". Now, three weeks in, they love them. Kids who used them then stopped, went back to them because they realized it was helping them to remember to keep their head up and eyes open and looking forward. I have a mixed team of advanced players and beginners and these have helped me reinforce to the new players but a reminder to returning players. They are made well and are adjustable so players can just grab anyone at the start of practice, get them on and go. Great product, definitely recommend these for other coaches.

My 8 Year Old Loves These
Purchased a pair of these for my 8 year old son, after he saw a teenage player using them to train and work on his dribbling. My son loves these and uses them regularly after school. His ball handling and specifically dribbling without looking at the ball is improving.

Daughter uses these so she doesn't look at her fingers while playing piano!
These aren't just for basketball! My daughter's piano teacher suggested we buy these glasses so she'd stop trying to watch her fingers while she played. They seem durable, she says they are comfortable, and I was happy with the price.

Decreased Peripheral Vision, Sweaty Under Eyes
I bought two pairs, one for my younger brother who is just now starting to play Varsity High Schol Basketball, and one for me. $5 isn't too steep a price and I was curious as to how effective they'd be. First thing I noticed while wearing them is that while the lower portion of my field of vision is cut off by the glasses, so is the left and right side of my field or view. On defense, keeping your eyes on both your man and the ball proved near impossible. Boxing out for rebounds was very difficult as well when you can't exactly locate an opponent to box out.Overall I'd say for solitary ball handling training, these might be a good tool, but don't anticipate getting anything out of them during actual play.

GREAT!!! Every new ball player needs a pair!
I purchased these for my daughter. She is a first year basketball player and is trying hard to improve her ball handling skills. She has the unique position in that she plays a post and a guard. She is very motivated to get better. Her coach recommend these to keep her from looking at her feet while she is dribbling. The specs are super flexible and fit great. The elastic that holds them on is also soft and easy to adjust. She has to bend her neck with her chin to her chest in order to see her feet with these on. She has been using them faithfully since they arrived. These are going to greatly improve her dribbling skills by keeping her form looking at her feet. Every new ball player needs a pair!!!

These things do in fact help you dribble with your head up.
One of the hardest parts of teaching any player to dribble is getting them to keep their head up. You will here coaches and dads screaming at the top of their lungs,”Keep Your Eyes Up!” on a daily basis. Even I struggle with this problem sometimes, but I think that an easy fix to this is using a pair of dribbling goggles. I was a little skeptical when I first picked them up, but afterwards, I was thoroughly impressed. How It WorksThe way that dribbling goggles work is really quite simple. They are designed with an extended piece of plastic that ascends from the lower rim of the glasses. When the player puts them on, this piece blocks out anything below your stomach from your line of sight giving you complete surveillance of whats in front of you.EffectivenessWhen I first put these things on, immediately I noticed how obscured my vision was. Any attempt to even try and look down left me craning my neck just to get a glimpse of the ball. The feeling was quite different in that dribble moves that I would usually perform without thinking (behind the back wraps, push throughs, ect.) became increasingly difficult. It exposed areas of my handles that I didn’t even know were weak. They definitely kept my eyes focused on surveying the court as there was no where else really to look.ConclusionCrafting your dribbling skills is one of the most important aspects in basketball. Not only does it effect your ball-handling, but also your shooting and passing abilities as well. The Unique Specs Dribbling Goggles aid you in all three of these skills and I plan on using them with my junior high team that I will be coaching in the winter. I’ve seen a tremendous amount of benefits from these glasses and for the cheap price of $11.90, I think these are something that every coach should have in their team bag.
