By far the best tyre inflator ever!
There are much cheaper inflators on the market - but with mixed reviews. This is typical Makita - well-made, robust and very powerful, it's well worth the higher price. I can do two cars in a fraction of the time taken with a manual inflator, and there is still battery capacity to do them again a couple of weeks later without having to re-charge the battery. The auto-cut-off operates at exactlly the pressure that I set (double-checked with an approved tyre pressure checker). Unlike cheaper ones, it does not heat up - even after having to put in 15 psi to a tyre that was only half inflated after coming back from holiday. On this occasion it took about 15 seconds to fully inflate. Brilliant piece of kit!!

If you already have the batteries / charger than a great addition to the range
Had a go by chance a couple of weeks ago on a 18v version of this at work and was impressed by the simplicity and ease of use so thought id take a punt on the 12v unit which is the makita range i use for my drills/jigsaws/drivers etc.Today i topped up 4 car tyres and recharged 3 bikes from empty to between 40 and 85 psi on approx 50% of a 2 Ah battery,.Light powerful and easy to use and no needing to power up the 12v socket of whatever car you are trying to inflate - recommended

Very quick to inflate car tyres
I have bought many tyre inflators and they are noisy, slow and break after being used a few times. This is different, its strong, well made and will inflate your tyres very quickly. the pump has a built in gauge you can set to cut off at an pressureIts great

Simple and quick
The main nozzle's for car tyres but it has slots fitted with adaptors for bikes, footballs etc. It's easy to set a target pressure and I was surprised how quickly it does a top-up. A single charge lasts me for ages. 4 stars because the 12v battery's a brand new version and isn't compatible with my existing Makita charger. Combination chargers for 12-18V are over £100 - a single charger for the new battery can be got for around £20-£30.

Easy to use, does the job, and is light.
I have had a rather mixed experience with battery tyre inflators. I use them quite often for bikes, wheelbarrows, sack barrows and various bits of agricultural machinery, and so it is important to have something light and easy to use. This gadget is perfect. If you are fed up with the chore of checking and inflating tyres, then buy it!

Get what you pay for
Bought as a gift for my brothers birthday. He rates Makita products. This was just another to add to the collection. Used on the car tyres and to pump up ballons. Handy little gadget. Has & will be well used.

Blew up the tyres on my ride on mower really well
Nice little pump, expensive for what it does, that inflated as stated in literature.Ensure you have the right mikita battery, there are a number of different types, or it becomes too expensive!

Excellent cordless inflator
I have the older 18V version of this inflator. I acquired another Makira 12V tool that I would occasionally use and since it would be nice to have a cordless inflator in both vehicles, I purchased this 12V version. The 18V version still performs noticeably faster than the 12V version, but I don't find the difference in performance concerning. The 12V version is also more compact and narrow than the 18V version. I don't have any issues with this to ensure my tire pressures are topped up and equal by setting the pressure on the unit.It also is great to have on hand to inflate balloons, camping mattresses, floaties etc. when on the go. I'll occasionally run to my car on occasion to use this to help with inflating balloons at parties. There's no comparison when inflating a rubber raft or floaty with this unit instead of a foot pedal.
