Works good for a tank heater
Used these heaters, solar panel, and a buck converter to keep tanks from freezing during the day.

Fridge drain heater
I used this item as a Samsung french door fridge drain heater to prevent ice build up in the drain hole which caused water to build up under the crisper drawers. Items worked right out of the package and no complaints so far.

Know the application
I suspect that these must be used in conjunction with a thermostat. Mine burned out in very short order when connected to a 12v battery (with a charge controller and a 20 w solar cell)

Lastet a little bit more than one month in hydroponic 5 gallons bucket.
Used in a 5 gallons bucket hydroponics solution and lasted a little bit more than a month. Make your own judgment...The second cartridge lasted just 7 days and failed as well. 100% junk.

Be careful one of these shorted out and shot sparks out. It was 100% wired correctly.
