This hat is amazing, very soft and warm. It is perfect for being outside and it doesn't make you too hot indoors either. I normally wear about a 7 1/2 to 7 5/8 so I decided to get the 61(XXL) and it fits amazingly. The shipping was also great as well. I ordered mine Friday afternoon and received it on Monday before noon. It came in sort of an envelope with the hat folded. It was not wrinkled or creased though. I also like how the emblems came unattached to the hat. I doubt I'll put them on so that I don't have to put any holes in it, but they're pretty quality. It's a comfortable hat and I have received a few compliments on it as well and have only had it a few hours. If you're thinking about ordering this hat don't hesitate any longer it's a great purchase, and of very high quality.

My son absolutely loved this! The quality was great, it was super soft, looked great and fit perfectly. It is made in Russia and I was very pleased.

I thought that by paying the amount I did that these hats would be very cheap. They are not. The interior lining is comfy, the top tie is solid (tho it frays a bit), and the hat and flaps are VERY warm. It doesn't fit my head but I expected this. Most hats don't fit my head. If most "One Size Fits All" hats don't often fit you, then neither will this one.

Fits perfectly. Pin is gorgeous. (Tho I have to switch the pin out to wear the hat at work, obviously)Got this for Winter Soldier cosplay. Definitely good enough quality for an every day Winter Hat. Love it.

I don't often write reviews, but the seller, Vlad (because of course that's his name), sent a nice little note hoping that I'm satisfied and asking for fair feedback on this product, so I felt a bit obliged.In short, it's a really good hat. It looks nice and keeps your head really warm, which is pretty much all you need from an ushanka. There are really only two problems: The hat smells pretty funny (like it came from a warehouse), but I haven't even washed it and the smell seems like it's already coming off and that it'll quickly disappear with time. The pin is also pretty inconvenient and a pain in the ass to put on; it's got ends like those brass paper fasteners so you have to punch a hole into the front flap and then put it in. Honestly, I'm not too surprised they lost the Cold War now since they never came up with the idea to use the simple and effective sharp pin + fastener. It's mostly a problem of making a big enough hole so that you can find it with your pin and put the ends through, which isn't easy since the fur hides the hole. The problems aren't really major at all though and the pin thing is a real non-issue if you don't plan on putting it on.Overall, it's a very decent hat. I'm pretty sure it's not an actual military ushanka (or even a replica) so if that's what you're looking for, then you should go elsewhere; this is more like something you would get from a gift shop in Moscow. There are actual surplus Soviet ushankas from the 80's on Amazon, so get one of those if that's what you want. But if you want a cool-looking Soviet-style hat and you don't really mind that they never actually used ushankas like this in the military, or if you just want to keep your head warm for the winter (because it really does do a great job with that), then this is a great hat to get at a very fair price.

I am thoroughly impressed with this hat. It's true to size, very high quality, actually from Russia, and is very warm. The first one I ordered came with the badge attached, but the next one did not. This wasn't a huge issue, all I needed to do was poke a hole in the hat and push the pins through. Very handy for when you're wearing the hat in a place that isn't quite fond of the Soviets.

I bought the XXL for my 16 year old son. He ( and I too) has a large head, so this seemed like a hat that might actually fit. The fit is good but had there been an XXXL I would have gotten that instead just to be on the safe side. So, I was pleased with the product at first, and then upon trying it on myself, I noticed the lining was slipping away from the inside of the hat where it was meeting up with the fur. Darn it! I don't have time to send it back as it is a Christmas present. Also, the ties are a bit on the short side. One was coming unraveled even, so I cut them both off and replaced them with cut pieces of boot laces. I will attempt to stitch the lining back in place too. Hope it holds! Perhaps I just got a lemon? Wish I could give 5 stars as the ushanka is really nifty, but the one we received was not manufactured very well in places.

Warm and fluffy. I bought one of these a few years ago in Russia and it got to being too small so this was a wonderful replacement. The ties for the ears are well sewn and have a sturdyness to them. You need that for tying them back and up. I don't wear the Red Star but it's a cool little piece to have or to give to someone. All in all I'd buy again but this piece feels like it'll last me a good long while. Would recommend.
