Affordable and awesome!!!
There’s not a whole lot to say about this product. It’s great, works as advertised. Makes changing strings and maintenance on your guitars easy and more enjoyable! Highly recommended as part of your guitar upkeep regiment. I did also get their string winder/cutter combo tool, that thing is amazing as well. (Side note: This purchase made me curious about their strings, I’ve always used Ernie Balls my whole career, so I switched to their 80/20 XLs I think (white package) for my acoustic and electric and they’re amazing!! I’ll never buy any other brand of strings). Back to the product, it’s foldable, lightweight and compact. Can be stored anywhere for easy convenience! What is nice is it adds a layer of protection and stability while you’re working on your axe. Ever tried doing this without a neck rest or block? Guitar starts sliding around, you’re trying to balance it on your lap or something. Strings flying around, sticks in your eye and now you need to go to the ER….well because you didn’t have a neck rest. BUY THIS!!

Whoohoo 🥳
No more pillows. No more big blocks, taking up space when not in use. This thing is is perfect. It folds up to this size of a fat cigar, and holds the guitar neck at a great angle. Easy to clean, change strings, adjust the neck, pickups, you name it. Brilliant design .. get yourself one, you won't regret it.

Lightweight and Handy for String Changes, but Handle with Care
The media could not be loaded. This is a compact, foldable headstand for guitars, useful for string changes and basic maintenance. It’s made from a lightweight, thin rubberized plastic that feels brittle — something I’d be careful not to drop, as it seems prone to cracking. Despite that, it does what it’s meant to: holds the guitar neck securely in place while freeing up both hands. The design features a three-legged stand with two possible opening angles, though only one seems practical — the second position where all three feet sit flat. The closing mechanism is a bit unintuitive: the side legs must be folded in before the main one, which also happens to be part of the wider leg. The fit when folded is slightly loose, so it wobbles a bit and doesn’t lock firmly like magnetic closures might. No carrying pouch is included, which some people might miss. It ships attached to a thick paper insert with a thin metal tie — nothing fancy. The stand doesn’t appear to have any metal components, which could help avoid rust over time. The tips that cradle the guitar neck are made from the same rubberized material as the base and have a soft V-shape to gently grip the neck. One thing to watch out for: the sharply angled edges on the wide leg might scratch soft surfaces or fabric if stored loosely. So while it’s functional and lightweight, it does come with some trade-offs in durability and finesse.✅ PROS:– Lightweight and very portable– Useful for changing strings or basic guitar maintenance– Rubberized V-shaped tips hold the guitar neck securely– No visible metal parts to rust– Simple packaging, easy to open✅ CONS:– Plastic feels brittle and may crack if dropped– Doesn’t close tightly; wobbles a bit when folded– Folding sequence is unintuitive– Sharp angles on the wider leg could scratch soft materials– No carrying pouch included✅ Final Notes:Best for light use at home or in a well-padded toolkit. Not ideal if you need something rugged or frequently mobile. Just handle with care, and it should hold up fine.

Planet Waves Guitar HeadStand
Works as designed. I purchased this stand so that I could get better balance and control while reconditioning my guitar. I like gadgets and especially tools that make the job easier. This headstand does just that. If you own an expensive guitar and don't want it to slide around or get scratched up accidentally while you are working on it, this stand helps aid in that process. It provides stability and because it is covered with rubber at the feet and cradle, it wont slip and it wont scratch your instrument. It conveniently folds up to a compact size so you can carry it in your case if you choose to. I would recommend this to those who like to keep their guitars a bit more protected and also, to make the job of reconditioning and changing strings a little easier.

Nice head stand
Handy little head stand that works fine, is surprisingly stable for its size and doesn’t take up much room. Nice to be able to work on my guitar horizontally. Very happy.

Not all that stable
It's all preference, but it does not function very well for changing strings. It walked, rotated, flipped a few times, it's just too light and unstable for anything but a quick need. I'd probably just dangle my headstock off the edge of a counter before I would use this. I absolutely will not be putting my 79' LPC on this to change strings. I ordered a more substantial cradle.Good: It's extremely portable and will work in a pinch.Bad: In my opinion I would not use it if you value your instrument. I don't even use floor stands except for temp holding when I'm in the process of playing. My guitars stay in the case when not being played. So, maybe I am a little more critical than the next dude, but I can't imagine how I would feel when it flips sideways, as I am trying to wind a string on my LPC, and it cracking the headstock. I would be devastated; it's irreplaceable. So, my acoustic was a bitch to string with this, it kept moving (maybe because the acoustic is inherently fairly light in weight?) so, not much pressure on the tripod. hmm... maybe, but should that have been taken in effect when designing it? so, what IS it really useful for? Clearly not me, but I'll keep it for an emergency in the acoustic case. It did work, but I lost control of the guitar at least 3 times while trying to wind with it -the stand moved or tilted. It was quite frustrating.

Best overall value
This headstand works like a charm. It's simple, portable, and sturdy. P.s. to the people complaining about it falling over...I have no idea what you're doing with your guitars, but mine is very stable. Plus all headstands are a bit wobbly and I've used just about every brand. For the price, you can't complain.
