L'Oreal Paris Summer Lights Hair Lightening Gelee, Light Brown to Dark Blonde HAir

I've been using only this product for a couple years to lighten my hair by a few degrees, a couple times a year. It's just the right hue for me. I love it!

This is getting harder and harder to find but it works very very well.

It might not work for everyone but it definitely worked for me. I have dark black/brown (with some light natural babylights that have stayed over the years) hair and it brightened up my hair and really gave me a sunkissed look. It didn't lighten my hair significantly (and I used the entire thing all in one session) but it was subtle and gave it texture and overall made me look like I had healthy hair for once. So for that purpose it was amazing. Of course I only bought this as a trial product I didn't expect it to work magic.

I wasn't sure if it was working at first. It definitely takes a few uses before you'll notice your hair getting lighter. I'm almost done with the bottle and now I see that my hair is definitely lighter.I'm using this to help blend my dark "grow out" after not getting highlights for about a year. My hair is pretty dark brown and I did notice some brassiness when first using this product. Then I started using a purple shampoo and conditioner and that helped a TON! If you have dark hair, I'd definitely recommend incorporating purple shampoo/conditioner.Now my roots are lightening up beautifully and blending so perfectly with my old highlights! I am so pleased! I highly recommend this stuff.

It really does what it promises, and the highlights do look good, but the damage to the hair is too much.

It actually worked on my dark brown hair and added some slight auburn highlights. I have only used it 3 times over the course of a week and overall I only finished half of a bottle. And it really works on my really dark brown hair. I wasn't expecting it to work at all. It won't make dark hair blonde but it will lighten it to an auburn color. I will keep using it. I wet my hair and then apply this all over, concentration on the ends. Then I dry my hair fully with a hair dryer. Getting your hair hot is key for the lightening effect (as damaging as it might be on your hair). I didn't observe any major damage).
