Top Tone, Top Value.
This is a lovely instrument for the price. It's a good looker with exceptional detail, based on an original in Paul Brett's collection.I'd read a magazine review of this and the Vintage Paul Brett Signature 12-String which I bought first. I'm still pretty clumsy on 12 string but this little six stringer is a real ear opener. It's hugely playable with a bright, but not overbright tone and a volume that belies its parlour sized body. It's great for fingerstyle, which is my thing. I'm used to picking up tab for various styles of music but I'm now trying to learn to play standards by ear, supported by online lessons and the Paul Brett has the versatility to take me where I want to go. Recently I've been amping it up and it sounds excellent with a clean, jazz preset on the amp.

Great guitar, excellent value but with cruddy battery holder!
I've had mine for 15 months and I'm really pleased with it. It's nice and small but projects its sound far more loudly and sweetly than expected. For such a small guitar it really speaks up. The construction, materials and finish are all excellent and the lightweight but extremely secure, well padded case is excellent. My only reservation (that takes it down a star) is that the pickup 9v battery is held in a clumsy fabric box-shaped bag with velcro fastener and a velcro pad to attach it inside the body. This is useless! Mine had come free when it arrived so I've got to slack-off all 12 strings and find a way of re-attaching it inside through the sound hole. They really should have come up with a more accessible and secure battery holder than this - PP3s are heavy and bulky. My other guitar's live pickup uses a coin size button battery. Otherwise the guitar is highly recommended.
