Lovely, not stabbing, pin brush. Fur comes off it super easily too. Good for long hair dogs.
I was a bit reluctant to buy this brush due to the price, but our fluffy Samoyed mix (long hair, double coat) was not enjoying grooming time with the random pin brush we had gotten in the store. I can see why as it really hurt my skin when I tried it on my arm. I had resorted to using our cats pin brush as it was slightly less sharp, but unfortunately it was not very big or as soft as the pins on this brush. This brush does not hurt. Every pin end is rounded. I tried it on my arm and it felt ok, so I tried it on the dog. He actually licked my face. He then let me brush most of his body in one sitting. That was huge because usually he'd get very irritated by me brushing him and get up and walk away. This brush made his fur, which we washed a few weeks ago, look brand new. It got so soft and lovely. It also seemed to get down in the depths of his beard area where it can get particularly dense and no brush I have can get all the way in there. The fur that accumulates on the brush comes off like a dream. I used to have to take a comb and scrape it out of the other pin brush. This is not like that. It almost floats off the brush. That alone is just wonderful. Plus no sharp pins to stab me as I remove the fur from the brush. The fur also accumulates on the brush very nicely, not jammed in.As I said, even up until I was opening the package I was thinking that's a pricey brush, but it is worth it. After using it just a few times, I say it is so worth it and your dog will be so happy. Each time I used it on him, I got my face licked and he actually stayed there looking content. This has never happened before.I now look forward to brushing him and, with such a fluffy, double-coated, long-haired dog, I brush him almost daily. The handle is feels nice in the hand. It looks like a well-made quality brush. The pins are 27cm, which are a bit longer than the basic one I had gotten in the store. They aren't oddly long in person, they look normal.

The length of the pins are the key.
Ok I was skeptical but I read the review that said to brush your fore arm with this brush 10 times and then brush your arm 10 times with your current cheap, off the rack, dog brush and I cannot believe the difference. This brush is rigid and strong but the tips are smoothed out so that they gently contact the skin below the hair. I have a GIANT 80lb Rough Collie that has a very dense undercoat. We were having lots of trouble brushing him. He hated it and would squirm around. We had to do it fast while he was eating and never got it all the way done. With this brush, he lays on his side and lets me brush him all the way. He's never been this easy. We wrote his name on the brush so we can take it with him to drop off at the groomer. May as well make their life easier also! THE MAIN BENEFIT of this brush is the LENGTH of the pins and the smooth finish of the ends of the pins. They reach all the way through both layers and they untangle his hair without a fight. This point cannot be overlooked. For a dog with a double rough coat, you have to be able to get through both layers! He likes getting his hair brushed now. After he's all brushed out, we can move ahead to a rake brush to pull out loose undercoat much more easily because there's way less tangles in the top coat. I had kept telling my husband we needed a pin brush with tougher, deeper pins and I found one!! Yes it's expensive but it's a really excellent brush and worth it!!! You'll immediately notice a difference both in the hair and in the willingness of your pet to be brushed. We also have 2 small yorkies. One has long hair. We use this brush on them as well because of the effectiveness but more refined pins. So it's good for all dogs but especially for double coats.

Love it!
Perfect. I have had shih tzus for 30 years. I have never heard of this brand and wish I had. My puppy handles the brushing so much better and we have a beautiful coat. Puppy doesn't pull and try to get away. Gentle and brushes well. I know it's expensive....but so worth it to me.

My dog loves this brush!
My dog loves this brush - she just lays on the bed while I brush her - it gets mats out very well. The ones that are just starting to form are able to come out easily with this brush and my dog does not move at all. I have a 12 lbs havanese for reference!

Your brush isn't missing a pin...
First off let me just say I LOVE this brush. I have a collie beagle mix that has long fur, a heavy undercoat, and it's a semi-nappy rough texture. Tough coat to brush. My girl tolerates brushing. Not the best of experiences for either of us. Not any more. She closes her eyes and zones right the f out. Loves it now. This brush is awesome. Why does it work so much better than all the other brushes I've tried? I dunno. Not my department. Just know it works and my dog loves the feeling.So... the title? Brush arrives and it's missing a pin. Was pretty ticked. Brand new brush, still in the box, hole where a pin should be. Ordered another one with an unpleasant note along the lines of "how could you send a new brush missing pins"? Well when the replacement arrived missing a pin, in the same spot, I went and zoomed in on the item picture. The display pic is missing a pin, in the same spot. So long story short it isn't missing a pin. That's the design. Turns out I am, in fact, an idiot. Sometimes. Happens. So thought I owed it to them to leave a review. And maybe help someone else to prevent needlessly returning or replacing a brush. Really do love the brush through. I genuinely dreaded brushing her before. If it doesn't hold up long term i'll amend the review.

The rounded metal teeth work well. A big plus for comfortable grooming.
The media could not be loaded. This is a very good every daybrush for dogs with long hair and undercoats. It is easy to use and detangles very well without annoying my dogs. I love the rounded tips. They actually look forward to it. The brush I ordered came with one spike missing. I did not return it because it still worked fine. We will see how long it takes for the teeth to degrade or fall out. Fingers crossed.

Best brush
I’ve tried every dog brush out there for my Aussie and nothing worked as well as this one. Well worth the money!
