Can't access settings.
Device functions well enough other than high-latency stuttering periodically. The login information for the configuration menu doesn't work at all, so you can't actually adjust anything, update the firmware or really use it as anything other than plug and play. If you're a gamer or streamer, this modem is actual trash. If all you do is watch YouTube or Netflix, it's adequate.

Buggy Firmware
I would avoid this device unless you are using it for the most basic tasks. We have 2 of these installed from Consolidated Communications, one for our office and one for a client. In both cases we are unable to alter the ending DHCP Range for the LAN network. This is necessary as out of the box the range is set to 192.168.1.2 thru 192.168.1.254, but we have network devices with fixed IPs so we need to change the range to exclude those devices. It's clearly a bug in the firmware and the ISP can not help us.If you have no need to alter these settings the device may work for you, but to me this indicates a lack of thorough testing, and thus makes the whole device suspect.

If you are having problems, reboot.
I bought mine outright from Consolidated to avoid rental fees. It seems to do a good job and I use the Lan ports to run cable to network switches for access points in remote parts of the house. With a background in IT, I've found it easy to configure. I am running the 2.4 band for most devices, the 5GZ band for video and a constrained guest band for visitors. I have yet to find a firmware upgrade so perhaps there is none. About once a month or when experiencing slowdowns, I do a software reboot to clear its head.
