.com Dora's special teddy bear is lost. She and Boots post a sign, and then decide to take matters into their own hands. With her trusty map for guidance and help from kids, Dora and Boots journey to the Lost City, a mysterious, hidden place where all lost objects go. Along the way, they travel to exotic locations, encounter some of their friends--Pirate Pig, Mami Bugga Bugga, and more--and help them regain their lost objects, too. Throughout Dora the Explorer: Lost City Adventure kids play cool math-related games and learn a little Spanish, too. The game's two play modes--adventure and free play--diversify gameplay, while three adjustable difficulty levels keep the game challenging. Kids also search for hidden stars throughout the game and collect them in a very special star pouch. Plus, printable games and math activities let children take the learning fun with them wherever they go.

Is a Fine Game
This is a fine game. I do not think it is as educational as it is billed. However, beyond that, it is a cute game and follows the traditional Dora method... You have a problem and you look at the map and use the things in the back pack to reach the final destination and collect the final item you need.It is my opinion that there are better software games that are educational available. I would probably buy some of the Freddie Fish games and JumpStart games before I would buy this game.I rated it a low three stars (or possibly a high two stars) for several reasons: 1- My son quickly grew bored with this game and stopped playing it after only a few weeks. 2- The voice of Dora is annoying and 3- I don't find Dora educational, and this software is the same- it's not very educational. It doesn't really teach Spanish although Dora will use Spanish once in a while. It doesn't really teach problem solving since the backpack and map and characters Dora runs across pretty much tell her what she needs to do and how.Enjoy.

Great game for toddlers!
If you child likes to play on the computer, and likes Dora, this is a great game for them!My son just turned 3 and loves to play this game. After playing each individual game with him, he was able to play on his own. The different levels are a great feature. Most of the games deal with number recognition, so the lower the level, the less numbers it deals with. There are also some print-outs to color, but not many to choose from.

It has a malware
I bought this game for my daughter. When I tried to install it to my computer, the security program(MS security essentail) warned that it detected a malware. So, I scanned this game by the other security program(Tred-micro office scan). It also detected same malware. Finally, I threw it away.

Doesnt work on new systems
The game is outdated and does not work on my daughter's new laptop. I have tried every trick to make it work. Complete waste of money. I gave it 2 stars (instead of 1) because I should have known better.

Know your numbers?
Yes, as a previous reviewer said, the Lost City is full of number recognition. My kids are 5 and 2 1/2 and they are both big Dora fans. My 5 year old has tired of this game (we've had it at least a year), but my 2 1/2 year old loves to play the paint-by-number game (I just wish there are more than a handful of pictures) and can now recognize many numbers! So kudos to the game. But he still finds frustration with the other parts of this game. For a more rounded game, try Dora's backpack.

Fun for Little Kids
My 4 1/2 year old Great Grandaughter loves it. Requires a DVD drive to be connected to play it.

Dora Dora Dora the Explorer
If your child loves the program, they are bound to love the game. It includes three different levels of difficulty and can be played in game format or freeplay. Each level offers different skills appropriate for different ages. The game takes you through an adventure asking you to help solve the puzzles as you go. You also get to print out pictures for colouring in. A fun game for small children to play which helps to increase their mouse control, giving them an advantage when they are at school. The only problem is, I now have to queue up to use the computer!!!
