Frigidaire FFRH1222R2 12000 BTU 230-volt Compact Slide-Out Chassis Air Conditioner with 11000 BTU Supplemental Heat Capability

I live near the Gulf Coast. It is hot and humid. This unit uses the evaporator water to cool the condenser by letting it run into a reservoir and the condenser fan blows the water thru the condenser to improve the efficiency. except their is a major design fault in this. The fanalso blows the water sideways onto the wall and drips condensation all along the bottom of it onto my window sill. I just spent $20,000 repainting this old house and my painter told me this "new" design was going to rot out my walls and window sill because of the water. I had the same Frigidaire unit before that just drained, didn't hold the water to spray on the condenser. For 15 years it never gave me any problems.I called Frigidaire and they sent out a repair man. he told me and them it was a bad design and was told they would not do anything about because it was "TOO HUMID WHERE IS LIVE". SO DON'T BUY A DAM FRGIDAIRE IF YOU LIVE IN THE SOUTH!!! THEY ACTUALLY TOLD ME TO DRILL A WHOLE IN THE UNIT IN ORDER TO HELP IT DRAIN!!!!This is the worst piece of junk. It cannot be used as intended in the southern part of the US as an air conditioner. Run away from these guys

So, I got a replacement air conditioner, under warranty,last fall. Installed it into the wall using the old housing. I discarded the new housing with the old unit. Now the new unit doesn't blow. Because I don't have a picture of the silver sticker with the serial number off the discarded housing you will not honor my warranty? I can send pictures of the serial numbers off the condenser and the blower motor. Help me out here this is a 650 dollar unit.. Please, I can't afford another unit and It's hot.Like · Comment

Arrived in great shape, detailed instructions made installaton a snap and it works like a charm. Economy mode keeps the room comfortable while saving electricity. Great product!

Very Happy. Great AC. Haven’t tried the heat yet. Fit perfectly into the sleeve from my prior Kenmore unit. My only complaint is that it is loud. When it is running I have to crank up the TV really loud to hear it. This is not common with a lot of units though.

So far so good it works great the a.c. and heat...

I'm ordering another next week.
