Wright's by Weiman Silver Cleaner and Polish Cream with Polishing Cloth, Ammonia-Free, Gently Clean & Remove Tarnish without Scratching

Just got this delivered to my door a half-hour ago, and now I've got three shiny, like-new pieces of antique silver before me. I've never done anything like this before, but my wife has had some family heirloom pieces in storage for a while, so I figured I'd clean them up for display. I was expecting a smelly paste/cream that I might have to use outside with gloves on, but that proved not the case. Virtually odorless and easy on the skin, I was able to clean the three pieces (a plate, tray, and cup) while sitting in my living room rocking out to Lynyrd Skynyrd. The container includes a small sponge-like applicator, but any soft sponge or cloth will do for the scrubbing, although "scrubbing" may be too strong a word. This was easy -- mostly just low-exertion rubbing! You really don't need to use a lot of the cream to cover a good area of any object you want to clean -- a little goes a long way. Once the surface gets cloudy, the second step is rinsing off the cream with water, and the final step is drying the piece off with a clean cloth. I'm no seasoned veteran in this game, so I can't say whether this process is more difficult with older, more significantly tarnished pieces of silver (or more pure pieces?); but my experience was quite positive.

I had a few older silver rings I didn’t think I would ever wear again, but they are very special pieces so I thought I would give this product a try since the price and reviews were great. I agree with the other positive reviews- this worked so well, those rings look beautiful now. I definitely recommend!

This silver cleaner/polish is a game stopper!!! First of the consistency of the cream is great. I like how it comes with a sponge as well. I mean I read comments where people say it is messy- well if you throw on some gloves and clean it in an area you can cover with a small towel, etc. you will be fine. Honestly, I didn’t do that ; I just took the sponge, placed the item in my palm, and rubbed to cream on with the sponge. Then I cleaned my hands with soap and hot water. It’s worth a little mess ! The process was easy and quick; the results were AMAZING! Hands down the best silver cleaner I’ve ever used! I know the pictures are just ok, but I’m telling you, the results are outstanding. Try it and see!

I needed to clean some old flatware to see if they were silver or silver plate. This works great. It's a cream and you just follow the directions and rub it on, rinse & the tarnish/oxidation comes right off! I can see the markings now & the silver plate looks good!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I got this to try and clean up an antique silver tea set. I had tried liquid cleanefs but the smell was awful and I had to move way too quickly to avoid messing up the plating. The cream is much easier to use and you can take your time. The provided sponge is OK, but a cotton cloth works better imo. It did an amazing job!

So glad I found this. I had a rare find at the Flea Market and wanted to clean them up. I've been holding onto them for quite a few years now. Now that I'm retired and living up in the mountains, it's time to pamper myself a little and use the good stuff haha! They are meant to be for dessert. A knife and fork. Very ornate. They have a bone-like handle, very elegant. They cleaned up well. I could not be happier.

This is the best silver polish! Because it is a cream, it is easy to get into nooks and crannies on serving pieces. Silver polish is becoming harder to find in stores. I was so glad to find it on Amazon!
