For the price, very much worth it.
I have reached out to 400 yds. with this scope so far. Just from sighting in at 100 at the crosshhair so far. Pretty impressed right now. I use a Tremor2 reticle for my big boy gun ".308" and that's the benchmark for rifle scope reticles. This one so far is awesome and Would recommend for anything at this distance. It's made to go farther but haven't tested yet. I plan on it though and look forward to testing more of the pride fowler reticle systems. for my ar15 I would recommence, The illuminated reticle is a huge plus as well, red blue and green. For the money you wont be disappointed.

Did not hold up to the shock of a 7 ...
Did not hold up to the shock of a 7.62X54r vepr. Everything loosened up after 40 rounds. Now it's unusable. We will see what tactical submission and or pride Fowler will do for refund, exchange, or upgrade. Stay tuned.

good
The reticle is very good. Lots of features for the money. I find the turrets too low and too difficult to move. They do track accurately. The fast focus eyepiece is too loose and too easy to move the reticle out of focus. There is an advantage to the tight turrets if your tramping through the jungle in combat, but then the fast focus should be tight as well. This tight/loose stuff is why I gave four stars vs. five. The scope seems well put together. The glass is fantastic. I saw one review say that it is bright so long its a clear day at high noon. I think this scopes glass will be clear and bright even on overcast days. It's easily as good as my nightforce NXS's and better than my Sightron III.It is a first focal plane reticle. I knew this when I purchased it. For my purposes this is not as good at a second focal plane reticle. I do mid range target shooting so having the reticle become fatter as I increase the magnification is very annoying. I knew that occurs, but I didn't think it would be as dramatic as it is. This is a good hunting or tactical scope. I will keep it as I have tactical rifles as well.First scope I've had with the lens caps that worth were worth a darn. Most others keep popping open even when you don't want them to.

Save for a better optic; worth the wait
Obtained this optic in a trade, so figured I would mount it on a Savage .308 and give it a try. The optical clarity is meh... on par with cheap Simmons, maybe if being generous it is somewhat close to the crossfire line of Vortex scopes... BUT... for the same $, there are much better options in 1-6X. Another drawback, is the zoom dial is the ENTIRE rear eyepiece, not like a normal scope. It’s not the worst scope available, but for the money you’d be better off buying something else with better glass and reputation.

Pride Fowler PFI Rapid-Reticle RR Evolution Scope Best Buy in Industry for AR-type firearms.
This is an excellent first focal plane reticle scope for the price. It has a Horus-type reticle with three illumination colors. I have shot .223 match-grade ammunition with bullets weighing 55 -77 grains and the instructions on how to use the ballistic reticle are spot-on. You can't buy a better scope for your AR-15 or AR-10 type firearm for the money. Best 5-shot group so far at 200 yards was with Buffalo Bore's 77 grain Sniper ammunition. Five shots into 0.663 inch group, measured outside edge to outside edge of group. Best 300 yard group with same ammo is 1.49 inches measured the same way. A great optic for a great price!

In desperate need of a redesign
Maybe one star is a little low, as there's a lot to like about this scope (that's why I took a chance) - I like the FFP and illuminated / dual reticle, BUT it has one glaring issue that needs to be redesigned. When you turn the magnification ring, the entire back end of the scope rotates (it's one piece) - this is unlike every other scope brand I have, where ONLY the magnification ring turns. This means using a rear scope cap is a real PITA - if you have one mounted, when you turn the magnification ring your scope cover is going to be rotating also.If the focusing ring mechanism was designed so only the magnification ring turned when adjusting, I'd probably give this scope four stars (I'm not sure about the turrets AFA size, and possibly could use protective covers?)Based on how this one works out, I was looking at other models of Pride Fowler scopes for future purchase, but they all appear to have the same design AFA the focusing ring.If so, I don't know that I'll buy any more of their scopes until they redesign the focusing ring.

Great glass, reticle easy to use and learn
168grn .308, you can't beat the quality to price point. Great glass, reticle easy to use and learn. Mounted in a set of 30mm Warne rings on FNAR. Only con: magnification ring is entire eye piece. Makes using covers a pain in the butt when adjusting magnification

I would have been happier with a Nikon!
Optic clarity is great...at noon on a very clear, bright day. There is a very noticeable fuzzy ring around the outside edge of the field of view. The holdover stadia lines do not correspond with any ammo I tried. A good mil-dot scope is a little harder to learn but easier to use once you do. Instead of using the 100 yd hashmark for 85 yds I use three mils holdover. You can range with a mildot just as easy as with the PFI. I bought a $150 scope for $350. I should have bought a Nikon rimfire BDC. Then I wouldn't have been upset when the holdover didn't work as advertised and the glass would have been clearer.
