I am so excited and pleased with this world globe. It is made so nicely. The world is displayed on a 13” circle globe. The countries clearly marked and slightly raised. With the colors so vibrant and the finish glossy, just makes you want to explore the countries, states, cities and more. Each is clearly labeled with the proper name, and can be read easily. The graft a ship of this world globe is excellence. It stands on a modern looking silver metal stand and is tilted and turns like the axis of earth does in reality.The second feature this globe offers is star constellations. It has a on and off switch, which seconds as as a night light when on. When illuminated the stars and the constellations layer over the land with a great light, each labeled by name. This would not be a night light for a young child, this globe and the lights it exhibits would be appropriate for fourth grade thru middle school easily.It is educational, bringing back the knowledge of where the countries are located, the hemispheres, oceans, cities and stars are located. The accuracy is wonderful, and would not only be perfect for a intermediate grade school/ middle school student but a teacher as well. This globe would work excellent in the classroom bringing back the reality of earth, verses a map on a computer, or flat map on a wall.Geography has been something I have always loved, studied and taught as a teacher. I wanted to share this love with my grandchildren. This is just perfect to do that bad will bring the excitement to them that it did to me. Arriving today, and spending a good few hours, checking, verifying, and looking for how detailed this globe is, down to cities, and rivers, lakes, and stars, brought back the excitement of again being able to teach the wonderful geography this globe had to offer.Worth every penny, nicely made and modernized, I would make this purchase again. A gift to grandchildren, a teacher or a son or daughter is perfect. One of the nicest best made I have seen! So pleased with this world globe.

I originally bought this globe as a replacement of a cheap plastic battery battery operated one that my kids broke. It’s probably a little too nice to use as a toy and as a learning tool it’s a little confusing having the overlay of the star constellations. It’s really pretty when it’s lit up and I like that it has a plug instead of batteries so it’s more likely that it’ll just end up as a fancy night light. It has an on off switch so you can leave it plugged in all the time and just turn it on when you need it. I actually really like the mirrored base as well. It spins smoothly and appears to be accurate.

Fantastic globe that can serve as a night-light and then shows the constellations at night. The glove is made well and the colors and countries are easy to see and their names easy to read. I got this for my 10 year old grandson for Christmas as a globe was on his Christmas list and he just loved it. Am sure he will get many hours of enjoyment out of it and it's very educational.

My grandson was turning 3 and his mom and dad are so networked with other parents that the boy had/has almost anything one could image. We had to think of an original gift. This globe pleased everyone. If I can, I'll post the video of my grandson ooo-ing in fascination, and saying "con-stel-lation." Now we have to top this for Christmas! Highly recommended for any child who really delights in checking stuff out and learning out of curiosity rather than an imposed mission or expectation, although I suppose this would work fine for that too!

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  We have international family members all over the place so it is really nice to have a globe to show how far away Grandma is or aunts and uncles so that way they can kind of understand about the world. Shell way Grandma who lives on an island can visit the beach more easily than us in iland in Ohio. We have used a light to also imitate the sun and show the difference between daylight and night time in different places.It is a nice size and easy to read. Good educational value

Bought this as Xmas gift for 11 yr old granddaughter who was desperate for a globe. I spent one and a half days researching globes all over the internet and finally decided on this one. It arrived yesterday and it's lovely. Sturdy, has a bit of heft to it, shiny, illumination is awesome in the dark. She is gonna love it!

I wish it had a battery option or it could be rechargeable. I try to avoid too many things plugged in. When the lights are off it’s completely black so it serves as a night light without making the room too bright. The map is basic. I didn’t buy it for educational purposes so its fine. Decor for a kids room. Full size school globe not those mini globes.

My 7 years old nephew is very interested in learning about the geography of different countries so I bought this as a Christmas gift. And he loves it and spending all day spinning it! He has learned so many more countries ever since he got it. This product is very well made with nice solid surface and looks absolutely beautiful when lit up. It can also turn into a lamp at night.
