When describing food people use the term “mouth feel.” The only way I can describe this is it has great “hand feel.” It’s solid! As far as compasses go it has everything an avid outdoorsman like me wants/needs to navigate. The only thing I can say as a negative is the fluid inside is a bit thick, and the compass takes a couple seconds to adjust- especially in cold weather. Other than that it’s perfect IMO. I’d buy it again if I needed another one.

I plan on keeping on in my truck as well as the camper. Reliable fire starter.

so, after opening the box, I see the "miniature" fire starter in it. Not sure if they work, but they are much smaller than shown. Maybe fine, so I am retracting the review showing them not included... they are just tiny.Now, it's all made in China.... too bad. Hope North is accurate.

This thing is built better that I thought it would be. Time will tell how sturdy it is, but this has a solid heavy compass, needle points to North as it should.
