Purchased this to replace sugar in recipes. Date sugar isn't supposed to spike blood sugar and I'm trying to be better about how much sugar I consume. This product is great and doesn't give weird flavors like other sweeteners. Sweetens everything I use it in and I can't tell a difference between it and normal sugar. Love it!

This date sugar is very fine grained. Think whole wheat all purpose flour vs fine cake flour. It doesn't taste like brown sugar to me but is slightly earthy and it definitely has the sweetness factor dialed back in comparison with refined cane sugars, but this definitely tastes good to me and the cookies I made with this date sugar came out delicious. I'm excited to bake with this sugar again.

I have diabetes and with the help of medication I keep it under control. I also eat fairly healthy and grow lots of leafy greens in my hydroponic systems. I make smoothies with those leafy greens and use this pure date sugar from Royal Palm as a sweetener. Every other natural sweetener bothers my stomach so I opted for date sugar because it has a low glycemic index . I use one of those personal blender cups and only add half a teaspoon of date sugar along with some frozen unsweetened fruit , water and the leafy greens I grow. I even make powder after dehydrating the leafy greens and running them through a spice grinder. Purely Organic broccoli raab is always in that mix. I feel better knowing I'm getting the leafy greens I need to stay healthy and I love growing them myself. I would recommend Purely Organic seeds as part of your healthy lifestyle.

Good for baking. It doesn't dissolve for coffee or drinks.

I love date sugar and this was a good value for the price, better than I could find locally in Alaska.

Says date sugar - not. Is chopped dates, and not whole dates but the residue when date sugar is removed. Takes a huge amount to sweeten coffee and it's not cheap. Amazon no return too. Do not buy!!!!!
