Why did you pick this product vs others?:These have worked well for most of our own seeds. It’s nice to choose specific varieties to grow.

pricey but I wasted money on 2 other brands and the brand x sponges were about like rubber and the seeds never got past the sponge and died soon after germinating.

Perfect “refill” for my Aerogarden. It makes me happy to have fresh herbs in the dead of winter!These supplies are good quality.

I was excited to try this AeroGarden seed pod kit, but unfortunately most of the included seeds didn’t sprout for me. That was disappointing since I was hoping for an easy start.However, I found a good workaround by using the pods with my own seeds, and they worked great for that purpose. The pods fit perfectly and hold moisture well, making them reusable for other seeds.If you’re handy with seeds and want to experiment, these pods are useful, but if you’re relying on the kit’s seeds to sprout easily, you might be frustrated.

We have more than 2 of these grower platforms in our family and we like to grow herbs/veggies other than the commercial selections.The planting environment appears to be some sort of foam rubber. In this purchase, as in others we have tried, the foam rubber is a bust. Germination failure is near 50%...green fungus grows on the foam and the seeds that do sprout must be removed QUICKLY to a very safe planting medium.Now, why a 3? Rest of the kit is helpful and worthwhile. We take sheets of peat (or cut peat cups) and build a wall inside the plastic items and then use good dirt as a medium. Much higher germination and the plants get that second set of leaves very quick. Once we have that we transplant.
