Best submersible pump on the market! quicker cheaper and quieter than the ones at the home improvement stores
Wonderful submersible pump! Cute (bright color to see quickly) AND functional (high speed, quick draining) for odd basement sump pumping areas. It runs quickly (the floaty part goes up with the higher the water level), runs SO quietly, and sucks out the water so fast! Way better than any pump i have used from Home depot or Lowes or even Ace hardware. It also has an L shaped outgoing hose connector, for regular 1/2 hoses or 3/4 in hose. I bought a larger width contractor hose because this thing sucks out water so fast i dont want pressure on the small regular hoses. Anyway, im probably going to get another one for backup, as its really high quality and if something happens to the first one i want to make sure i can use the same one in the future. really useful if your drains clogged and you need to remove water fast to access the drain too.

it’s a good pump.
Problem is there was no spec for the sump hole dimensions so the pump doesn’t work in the sump hole for which I bought it (hole must be about 2’ x 2’ x 2’, mine was too shallow and not long enough for the float switch to work properly. Still, I’m keeping the pump as an auxiliary, it’s a good pump.

Would be good but comes with a bad Bad Float!
Initially, I liked everything about it. Easy to adapt it to a garden hose, lightweight, good power cord length, top handle and great price. Two flaws:1. I installed a screen aroung the base because it would have sucked good size rocks into the impeller and broke for sure.2.I had to hold the float up in the air to use it because the water (about 15" deep) was too shallow to let the pump turn on. I had to hold it up almost the entire length of the cord to get it to turn on and held it in the air the whole time until the hole was drained. As is most common, you get what you pay for.DO NOT TRUST THIS IN A BASEMENT WHERE YOU HAVE VALUABLES TWO FEET OR LESS FROM THE FLOOR!! UNLESS THEY'RE MOUNTED TO THE WALL,THEY WILL BE UNDERWATER.

It surved its purpose
I purchased the pump to empty a stagnant pool and it worked very well... I intended to use it as a quick fix and it definitely served its purpose. I did turn it off every six to eight hours for an hour just in case and it did take me a week to empty the pool so do the math!

Works very good at pumping the water
Works very good at pumping the water. Only negative is length of cord on float. I tied it down so pump doesn't have to be a foot under water to start pumping as I'm using to drain rainwater from a, 18 inch sunken box.

Good flowing pump, bad float and won't shut off.
Pump works well and moves fluid nicely. Has a hard time shutting off when float lays back down, the pump will not shut off unless you bump the float or the pump. I gave it two stars because it does move a decent amount of water for the purpose of rain control, but I wanted a little more reliability in it shutting off (hence having a automatic float switch) when it doesn't shut off and check it is too hot to touch.

More like 300 gpm with a very low rise being used
1 Star is over-rating the item. Output not even close to the claim of 1980 gph. More like 300 gpm with a very low rise being used. Float switch works but poor design on setting it. Directions are horrible. They are written so the person that already knows about it can say yes they are there. For the consumer they are pathetic. Does not come with an adapter for a garden hose. I would return but on a deadline for moving some water. Price lured me in. I gambled. I lost.

Pump works fine.
Not sure of reliability since the pump is used very infrequently, total less than 12 hours for almost a year now. If reliability is proven later, it should be worth 5 stars rating.

Decent pump for the money
I'm using this pump to water a greenhouse. It sits in the bottom of a 50 gallon drum and pumps thru a standard garden hose over 60 feet to a splitter that feeds 2 watering wands on there own 25' hose.. Pressure is great. However the floater switch does not attach to the pump as its supposed to.. The built in clip was an afterthought and is lame at best.. Thats y only 4 stars.. I will update this down the road as I've only been using it for 1 week.. So far so good.. Runs quiet and pumps fast

the float needs to rise a considerable distance before the pump engages - not adequate for my particular install) I did test it prior to install - excellent flow, and runs fairly quiet
If you are considering using garden hose ( I did ) as your outlet/discharge hose, be aware you will need to MODIFY the outlet adapter. You'll need to cut off the extension, and purchase adapters to get it to the correct sizing. I got mine locally, at an irrigation supply house.I also modified the ON/OFF float assy by tying it off, in an upright (ON) position, so that it runs immediately on plugging it in.(As shipped, the float needs to rise a considerable distance before the pump engages - not adequate for my particular install)I did test it prior to install - excellent flow, and runs fairly quiet. Very happy overall!.

Works great, most if the time
This worked great in deeper water (about a foot). It was surprisingly powerful, and worked well until the water level was quite low (a couple inches). I tried starting it in shallower water (about 5-6 inches), however, and it wouldn't start up until I removed the discharge hose. Once it was up and running I was able to reattach the hose and pump out the water. 1 star off for the finicky starts.

Powerful and robust
Very powerful and robust pump, I had to return it tho cause the flote switch need to be completely upright to activate the pump. It's not designed for a swamp pump purpose but more for a pool, whirlpool or similar large surface of water 💧. Not what I was expecting, not my needs.

Works great for draining a hot tub
Price was great and it arrived in about 1 day.I am using it to drain a hot tub and it empties the tub in about 15 minutes.I was concerned as it has a thermal shut-off and thought it might shut off when placed into the hot water. It worked fine. When you get close to the bottom, you will have to manually hold up the float/shutoff to keep it pumping the last 8 inches or so of water.I would purchase it again.
