Finally Back in Print!!
Batman City of Crime (IMO) is probably one of the best Batman Story I have ever read. Its dark, moody, seedy, gritty and pretty much every adjective that could be associated with the Batman. Written by David Lapham of Stray Bullets fame, City of Crime is detective story in every sense of the way. There's this weird atmosphere in the writing and the amazing art by Ramon Bachs is just the cherry on top. City of Crime is about how Bruce Wayne's careless dismissal of a young woman at a party would start off a chain reaction of events which would lead Batman into the seedy heart of Gotham to face a horrific villain. The trade paperback went out of print for a very long time and I am so glad that DC decided to bring this back in print and in a Deluxe Edition hard Cover no less. There is a second cover by Jock which is also a treat for the eyes. But I wish there were some more extra features in it like a writer's interview or something but no matter. This book is back in print and if you like a more detective style batman story where clues are to be found and a crime is to be solved then I cannot recommend this book enough.

Good but grim
A good story but the most ‘adult’ Batman I‘ve read yet: dark themes for the dark knight.

A very dark but very good Batman story.
Such a fantastic dark, gritty, mystery story. This one, for me, is taking Batman to some very real and very dark crimes that we don't normally get. It has some excellent use of some rogues that aren't overused and are done really well. It was hard to put down. I really just wanted to keep reading it till I finished it. Great artwork. David Lapham tells an amazingly good story here.

Horrible
This book is horrible. The plot is so murky and allover the place there are too many Characters to keep straight. I was really looking forward to reading this book and was hugely dissapointed.
