Works well
Works really well. Takes a little finagling to get it lined up properly, but then it sucks out the air like a champ.

For the cost is is well worth it!!!
So first I want to say I bought this for Sous Vide cooking. It works perfectly for me. Second I see some reviews about the suction. Yes it's not extremely strong. Some tips to improve the vacuum power. First the bag must be opened and the closed. Most of the bag sent don't have any air in the so the pop seal won't work. Second empty bags may not register for the device. Make sure the ziplock is fully closed. If you hear air noises it's not.All that being said the food lost savings I am getting out of the device will pay for itself. I'll be able to be in bulk which is cheaper. I'll not waste veggies or fruits that good bad.I have only had it for a few days. My current recommendation is a must have in a small or traveling kitchen.

Great Product
This does exactly what you want it to do. It sucks the air out of the bags and is super easey to use. The vacuum feels solid and charges with a USB-C. I use it to store Beer Hops pellets to make sure the air is sucked out and they last a lot longer. I have only used them for a short time so I cant speak to the longevity, but so far so great!

Works well for dry products only
This works well if you want to vacuum seal dry products. It did not work well with meat or ground meat. The portable small size is easy to charge and use. However, it only works best with dry products. If you want to use it to vacuum seal meat, you will need a bigger heavy duty sealer. I ordered other brands of the portable small vacuum sealers, but none worked with meat. So I returned them and purchased a bigger heavy duty one.

Keeps things fresh
The picture says it all. I bought this because as careful as I was about tightly covering avocado, I would still have brown spots the next day. Oxygen, although all living creature need it, is your enemy. This nice little machine will keep that from happening. Will the avocado last forever? No, because naturally occurring bacteria will break it down, but at least they won't be aided by oxygen.I have a full size vacuum sealer that I use for frozen and other larger foods. It's very powerful and would probably demolish an avocado. For smaller things this is perfect because I can control the suction and stop it before whatever it is becomes a pancake.I love that the sealer unit charges easily with a USB-C charger and is small enough that it takes up almost no room in my tiny kitchen. The bags clean very nicely. I just wash and hang over a wine bottle to dry. As a matter of fact, the avocado pictured is using a bag I washed last night after having pizza in it.For those naysayers, it's important to get a very good seal on the bag. Run your fingers along the seal several times to make sure there are no bubbles where air can enter or escape. That will mean the unit will not have a problem making a vacuum.

So far, so good
Had to replace the old one so bought two different new ones. One of them just didn't suck out the air at all so it's junk. This VMSTR one works very well. It charged up within an hour or so. The one problem I had since it doesn't say anything about this in my manual was I could not get the push top to push. Finally decided to pull the rubber semi-ring and out it came and the thing start working when pushed--I don't generally just rip away rubber gaskets since usually they are needed. i couldn't get the other vacuum I bought at the same time to take out the air so it's junk. Luckily, this one uses the exact same bags as our previous vacuum sealer and the dysfunctional vacuum sealer, and it works wonderfully. Seals up left over sauce (put it in a real Ziplock so the liquid would stay away from the bag "nipple") and just now sealed up some leftover pretzels we didn't want going stale and the vacuum worked so well the pretzels started to make breakage sounds so we figured that's enough suction. We don't sous vide but I think this would work quite well for that too. They sell so many things in supersize only these days--and our family unit is swindling with everyone going off following their own pursuits so we can't use a whole jar of sauce or a huge bag of snacks so this vacuum sealing comes in handy.

Does Not work with Food Saver machines.
looks great and feels sturdy but will not work with Foodsaver Machines/accessory tool to remove the air. Looks like the valve is made different than Foodsaver bags.
