Easy to use but difficult to read
Following the instructions is pretty easy. Easier than a DIY Covid test! Reading the results is difficult. The check line shows up easily but the test line is very hard to see. If you have very good eyesight, (I used a magnifier) and good daylight you can see the very fine line. Using a provided comparison chart the density (darkness) of the test line can be checked and evaluated to see the results. My results were in the sufficient region. The company claim an average accuracy of over 94%. I will be doing another test in a few months to add to my confidence in the reading. I expected this result of a sufficient vitamin D level. I do take a vitamin D supplement and being retired have the advantage of an outdoor lifestyle benefitting from sunlight boosting my vitamin D levels. All in all, I am very happy with this relatively cheap test kit.

Easy to use
Anyone with a modicum of intelligence can use this testing kit for vitamin D deficiency. It simply isn't difficult as some of the reviews suggest. Simply put wash your hands, sterilize with alcohol wipe, prick finger with lancet, collect blood, transfer sample to cassette, and apply buffer solution and then wait 10 minutes. How do some folk cope in the world. It's cheap, it's effective, and I ain't getting enough 😱

Almost impossible to read the result
The test was quite easy to do, just follow the instructions and all is fine. Even the lancet to draw blood seems less painful than when they do it for the iron test before giving blood, so that's great. However, the difference between a good and bad result is so hard to differentiate. I looked at my result compared to the printed sample in all sorts of light conditions, including bright daylight, and I could comfortably argue that I was either fine or deficient.Basically, you are comparing a line on a test strip, which is only a slightly different shade if deficient, with a printed example. So, even if I am confident my line looks like the "fine" example, how do I know the printing is perfect in the first place? On balance, I think the test is pretty useless. Not happy that I have to give it a whole star either. I'm scoring it 0 out of 4 (not 1 out of 5)

Lancet not the one on instruction sheet
I've used these tests before without any issues. However, this time there was a different lancet in the box (orange one in pic). The instruction sheet and box show the lancet I used previously (green one). Green lancet was simple to use, but the orange one is more complicated and the manufacturer is breaking the law on 'item as described'. Having no instructions doesn't help the user; I pushed, pulled, twisted etc I'm a design engineer, but still couldn't work it out!! When I magnified the end of the orange shaft, there was no hole. So I tried cutting off the tip, but still no hole. In the end, I managed to pull off the white cap with side indents and shaft running through it. Found that this was in fact just a way of keeping the lancet needle safe. Pressed the orange end on my finger and pressed the white opposite end and hey presto, it pricked my finger! Hopefully this, alongside my photos, will help others struggling as well as those saying that the lancet doesn't work. Shame on the manufacturer for not amending the instructions to encorporate the new design of lancet ಠ︵ಠ

I’m happy that this works.
I’m not a medical professional, do your own research. Most people in England are likely to be low in vitamin d, we simply don’t get anywhere near enough from sunlight or other sources. I decided to do a couple of tests, doctors are reluctant to arrange them for people and when they do they can be expensive. Both tests showed I was deficient, I may still arrange a lab test for further confirmation but I’ve already purchased vitamin d3 (10,000iu daily) with k2. I urge everyone to seek out Dr. John Campbell on YouTube and search for his videos on vitamin d3. Life changing.

Easy to use
Easy to use - just follow the instructions provided. No comment on accuracy as I have no other test/s to compare to but it did give me results within 10 minutes and they are easy to interpret.I would use again for keeping a check and giving me an idea of how my levels are.

Good post diagnosis test
I recently diagnosed with vitamin D insufficiency basically non existent. I bought this test for me to test accuracy before purchasing one for my husband. It was spot on result so I knew it was right. Bought another for my husband result was he was ok for vitamin D. Good product.
