I have an older dishwasher that was hardwired into the switch under the sink- just the wires coming in and attached much like a light fixture behind a cover plate in the front. My new bosch dishwasher doesn’t connect that way and doesn’t come with this adapter. Furthermore the installation crew won’t wire this up. So I ordered and connected this part myself. It was a little finicky to get the still wires fed into the right position due to the closeness / small clearance but doable and solved my problem. Seems well made and was the part I needed.

Ordering from Amazon was about $10 more than ordering it online from Home Depot. When I bought my dishwasher I didn't know I would need this, so I didn't add it on to my purchase and then it was too late afterwards. If I ordered it online with HD after my appliance purchase I would not have gotten it in time for my dishwasher intall and HD didn't carry it in store, so I ordered from Amazon with the prime shipping and even though it was $10 more, it was worth paying the extra $$ to buy from Amazon. Amazon prime shipping saves the day yet again!

This seems sturdy and well made. The big issue I have is the product description was not clear that this was only compatible with Romex. Code in my area still requires BX (steel jacketed) cable. Returned for that reason

Out of curiosity, I decided to look for myself. I saw claims that negative reviews were removed from products because to hell with customers leaving legitimate reviews. The one I had already in place for this product was magically missing. Originally was purchased in 2022; negative review was posted about a year ago in 2023.Avoid this product. The wires from the side pre-installed by the manufacturer are crammed into a small space in the junction box with three blade connections for the single connection for the hot, neutral, and ground wires. The ground wire, in particular, over time or vibrations or whatever, had its insulation cut by one of the blades to the hot wire and burnt up.

It was easy to install arrived quickly, in my dishwasher is humming as we speak.

It was exactly the part needed and was great as it allowed me not to have to wash dishes by hand
