Andalou Naturals Cleansing Gel, Citrus Kombucha, 6 Fl Oz

I struggle with mild adult acne and have dealt with acne pretty much my whole life. I have tried everything. I purchased a few products from Andalou Naturals which have all, in unison, helped my skin heal and glow-up! This cleanser is not only moisturizing and helps fight breakouts but it helps my skin feel smooth, dewy and refreshed. My skin is very oily, but as I've gotten older, the cleansers for oily skin I've used for years are too drying. I tried Cerave and Cetaphil, but they leave a film on my skin, definitely not clean. This cleanser is perfect. My oily face feels completely clean, but not dried out. Very reasonable price and has a pleasant citrus smell. Highly recommend!

I have oily & blemish prone skin and recently decided to try the Andalou Naturals brand, as I’m very into clean beauty and non toxic living. I was using clean brands prior to this as well. I switched all my products at once, and bought their clear skin cleanser, clear skin toner, brightening vitamin C serum, and clear skin moisturizer.I’m using the products in that exact order, twice a day. Wow!!! What a difference. My skin has never felt so healthy and it’s less inflamed than ever. I’d still say that managing stress, emotional healing, and healthy nutrition has made the biggest difference to my skin… more than skincare, however skincare is still important and these products are amazing. Over the last year or two I’ve avoided using products marketed for oily or acne prone skin as they are usually too harsh, destroy the skin’s barrier, and make the problem worse — instead opting for sensitive skin ranges, which has kept irritation / inflammation mostly at bay, but hasn’t helped with clogged pores and oiliness. However, I took a chance on the clear skin line since none of the ingredients seemed excessively harsh. It’s just what my oily and textured skin needed! Keeps inflammation at bay while also addressing my skin type. I haven’t had any breakouts from these products. Just my usual few hormonal cysts through the month - but these shrunk A LOT faster than usual... within a day I’d say (normally take a few days). I definitely have less clogged pores now too.The products smell fantastic - especially the vit C serum. It’s like aromatherapy combined with skincare.I’m currently reviewing this as the weather gets colder so the above routine works well for me, but I do think in the summer I’d only need the serum after toning, as I’m super oily and the serum is definitely on the hydrating end for my oily skin. The combination of a hydrating serum & moisturizer may be too much depending on your oil production, but as the weather gets cold, I’m liking it. I don’t need much of either. I could definitely get away with just using the moisturizer alone as that would be plenty of hydration for me even in cold weather, however I’m trying to fade dark spots, hence the serum.I do exfoliate a couple times a week with another brand’s lactic acid rinse off wash in the shower and that’s all the exfoliating I need to stay smooth. Less is more with exfoliation as I learned the hard way…All in all my skin is looking so healthy and clear. Andalou naturals was the last piece of the puzzle for glowing skin. As someone who has dealt with acne for 15+ years I’m finally experiencing life without it due to inner healing and well-formulated skincare. Thank you Andalou Naturals!!!

Update May 28, 2021:I’ve been ordering this product from the same seller since May 2018 and the recent products I received were bad. The first bottle I recently ordered had a bad, sour odor to it. It was also cloudy compared to the bottle I was currently using. I got a refund and ordered the same product from the same seller thinking it was probably just a bad bottle. The second bottle was clear but it also had the same bad, sour odor. I looked at the lot number of the bottles with the odor and they were the same. I’m not sure if it was a bad lot but I’m tired of returning this on Amazon so I will look elsewhere to purchase this product.May 8, 2018:This is one of my favorite products from the Andalou line. I have extremely oily skin and it is the only face wash I've used that leaves a clean feeling without the dryness. I love that it is made from natural ingredients. It works great as a post-chemical peel face wash since it doesn’t contain any harsh ingredients. It works so wells that I can use a small amount to quickly remove all of the oil & make-up from my make-up brushes as they can get oily after several make-up applications.

I love the way it cleans my face, love the smell! Got it on sale at a decent price. Product deserves 5 stars, but it was not shipped in a box, it was in a heavy envelopes with no bubble wrap. As soon as I opened the envelope I noticed the product box itself was wet, the face wash was leaking out of the bottle. About a fourth of the bottle was gone.

This product has cleared my skin so much! I was nervous about it drying out my skin but it very gentle. I have combination skin and have noticed way less oilyness and much softer, smoother skin texture. Definitely would recommend!

In conjunction with the toner and moisturizer, as I've used this cleansing gel, I've noticed my skin becoming healthier and clearer. I don't get many zits. I only have occasional ones on some days. This is what it's alleviating; no big problems to start with. However, I have sensitive skin, and that's made finding the right products for me difficult. It's been surprisingly trying to find something both effective AND gentle on my skin, which is necessary for daily use! This fits the bill in both categories. Very pleased with it and I plan to keep using it for a long time!
