Will not function with the universal Chirp SW. The other company, RT Systems says only their own cable works with their own RT SW. So if it works with neither software, what can it be used for? How does anyone know if it works at all? Is there any SW that works with this cable? Unless this item can be shown as working for the equipment stated, it needs to be dropped from sale!!!

Program I use could not find the radio

As soon as I plugged the cable into my FT-7900 the radio locked up and transmitting at the same time. I don't think this has the compatibility they claim or I got a defective unit.UPDATE: I should have read the instructions for the radio with greater diligence! An excellent product that is very well made!

This cable does not work with the CHIRP software for a Yaseu FT7800R. I get a "Failed to communicate with radio: Failed to read header (0)" error which is the same whether the radio is powered on or not.

Works with my FT-7900r without a problem using multiple software versions although so far CHIRP is my favorite. I would recommend this cable if you have an FT-7900r,

No matter what driver I tried to use this did not work on three different computers, always showed error. I believe it has either the fake or cloned chip in it.

The cable worked very well the first time I tried using it. I am indeed quite pleased and I recommend it to others.
