More than it seems...
It's in my personal opinion, as an "sf-aficionado", that this amazing movie is more than it seems. It is not only "the first Hindi science-fiction with the finest special effects ever created in Indian Cinema" as it says literally on the back cover. No, it is much, much more. It pays respectful homage to some of the most classic Hollywood movies, starting with "Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind", when the scientist is trying to contact with alien life, continues with "Singing in the Rain" (when Hrithik Roshan and Preitty Zinta are dancing to the tunes of "Idhar"), or "ET" (that famous bike scene, when "Rohit" is running with who he thinks as "Jadoo" in a basket of his back). The script is very intelligently planned, revealing how "Rohit Mehra" (Hrithik Roshan's character, very well portrayed, showing his acting talent in two different sides of the same person) is evolving, as we watch when he first awakes after the "Jadoo" has given him super-powers... And his first step as a super-hero is not a show of force, not (althought that will be later), instead there is a simply, short, but emotive scene, when he can "see everything" without the aid of his glassess. I must admit I was captivated with that scene, as you will be when watching "KOI MIL GAYA".

Decent, but not perfect.
What do you get when you combine Close Encounters of the Third Kind, with a little bit of Independence Day and a lot of ET? Why you get Koi...Mil Gaya. This basically sums up Koi mil gaya. The Spaceship is surprisingly effective, the alien is clearly a kid in a suit, though thanks to the expressions, believable enough and it has a very kiddish tone to it. The two things which stop this movie from being stupid is: 1) Hritik Roshan.I honestly thought that Hritik was a bad actor before watching this movie. However, His performance was so engaging that it has changed my entire opinion about him as an actor. He is great now. I feel he is the one thing which allowed me to watch the entire movie, without feeling stupid. 2) The Characters - The other saving grace is it does have very well developed characters, which allows you to feel for them more, especially rohit (Hritik) when they're in trouble.Overall, thanks to these two saving factors, and despite the many hollywood 'references', which get silly at times, this is still a decent film. The first of it's kind.

Bollywood meets ET
Bonkers cheese fest of a Bollywood movie which blends Hindi with ET. Likeable characters and story with feel good theme. Only Bollywood could combine SF and aliens with insane dance routines in the mountains ! But we love it don't we?! Roshan is good and the gorgeous Zinta makes the film more watchable. Wiki says this film turned around Roshans career ? Blimey. If you like a cheesy Bollywood ET cheese sandwich a movie this is it. Good for a laugh. Oh maybe add in $6 million dollar man as an influence with some of the stunts ! Overall I enjoyed it .

Brilliant, funny and light entertainment
I liked this film which goes on to Krrish and Krrish 3. Have become addicted to some Bollywood films and this is okay for the kids to watch with obviously sub-titles which is not for everyone but give it a go.

One of Hrithik Roshan's best work!
A fun action packed film, particularly aimed for the younger generation and family viewing. Hrithik Roshan delivers his role superbly, and the film defenatly deserves a watch just to see how much realism and sincerity he gives his character. Preity was good too, but Hrithik defenatly stole the show. The film does resemble ET, but I think its good enough to deserve its own identity, particular with the likeable characters such as "jadoo". A good watch!
