Stretched canvas is on a wooden frame. These are canvas on a piece of cardboard and are called canvas panels. I was very disappointed because I wanted to try this canvas on stretcher bars, so it went back as soon as I opened it.

I just received my second order of these linen canvas boards and I am amazed that they remain such excellent quality. The stretching is straight, the corners are neat and precise. They arrived packaged with great sense and care. Bashed corners will never happen cradled in sheets of special bubble wrap and double boxing. I use them as they are to mount my fiber work, so it is necessary that they are beautiful. The color is a regal taupe. My framer is cutting one of them in thick strips to line the inside edges of a shadow box so it will match the mounting. I think it’s going to be gorgeous and I think will have to buy more snd more of these things.

This product is great because it lets you see a toned background and provides a smooth surface for oil painting. Love this item

I needed one 6x8 matte to go inside an 8x10 frame and this is perfect. Although a matte normally is included with a frame this seems a rare matte size to include. Great sale price too for a 4 frame package. I know I’ll be using the other three.
