I have sharp knives, but when they are getting a little dull, you can swipe it through this sharpener a couple of times and you are chopping green onions or whatever with a sharp edge again. Love it and would buy it again.

Very effective sharpener. Felt very safe as it is stuck on a cupboard door and you don't have to run a knife next to your hand, as you would with a hand held sharpener.It very quickly sharpened all of my blunt knives razor sharp, even the ones that I had tried to sharpen with a standard sharpener.
