Using the woofer from this set in an "ib" door install. Despite my door install being far from ideal these woofers can offer very high sound quality in the low and mid range when tuned around ~90hz 24 db/oct. They can go to insane volume levels if I push the tuning to 120hz 24 db/oct. Very nice driver. Seems a little sensitive in the high mids but so have all the other mid woofers I have tried in my car. Most likely this is the result of my car and personal preference. When I tried the tweeter it seemed very sensitive as well. This is probably the result of a VERY ideal placement in my car. The crossover comes with 3 settings for the tweeter so that is nice. The tweeter had a bit of trouble going to volumes that I could reach with the woofer if I crossed the woofer over high. But this a volume level on par with what you would get with a super tweeter and pro style woofers so it is beyond what they were designed for.Overall a high quality set designed to work well in car door installs even when dropping right into factory slots. As sundown claims they are a smooth sounding set and found they outclassed everything I've heard before when listening to smooth sounding music with alot of detail in the 80-200hz range. Making them great when paired with a low tuned subwoofer and proper high pass filter.
