Choosing the one that suits oneself is the best
A very powerful water pump is prepared for changing the water in the fish tank, so I personally feel that it's a bit overused

THIS IS TOO POWERFUL for a small container. Shoots up almost 3 feet.
THIS IS TOO POWERFUL for a small container. Shoots up almost 3 feet. Had a small bowl about 8 inches round and 8 inches deep and this shot water up so high it got all over the place. More likely for an outside fountain, NOT an inside one.

This has a very strong spray of water.
I bought this to use in a ceramic fountain I plan to make...It did not come with thing but I bought some at the hardware store. I set it up in a bucket of water just to test the motor and spray and I am pretty sure it will work just fine. Now I just have to make the fountain.

Tried two different ones both quit working
I purchased the first pump and it lasted about one week before it quit working. Thinking I might’ve just received a defective one, I returned it and replaced it with the same pump. The second one also lasted just one week. This is a small upright fountain that we have owned about 20 years. It requires about an 18 inch vertical lift for the water. So I’m not sure why it quit other than the product itself must be defective. So I’m returning the second one and buying a completely different pump. Previous pumps had lasted about five years.
