Great run time!
This saw has been very well worth the purchase for me. I'm a professional contractor and use this for cutting steel and once in a while I'll cut aluminum as well. Before I bought this I used a ferrous metal cutting blade in my bosch cordless circular saw or else in my Dewalt cordless miter saw. This is so much better and I'll never use my other saws for cutting steel any longer now that I own this tool. This is designed for cutting steel so the ferrous metal blades it uses last much longer than metal cutting blades do in saws designed for wood. This saw is much more of a pleasure to use as well. It has the proper torque and slower blade speed for cutting steel and that help the blades last. There is an led light that lights up the cut area well and the saw has a clear section on the blade cover that allows the cut line to be visible and keeps the chips from flying into your face. Although, one should always wear eye and hearing protection and the chips will bounce around at high speed and make it to your face with any saw like this. I almost bought another brand of saw like this which has a brushless motor but after using this one I have no regrets. It's very powerful and I haven't had a job yet in which I've used more than one bar on one of my 6ah batteries. I have begun cutting steel much more regularly and I usually make 20-40 cuts in 1/16" to ⅛" steel. Blades last me longest when the saw is used with a guide such as a framing square to ride the baseplate against while cutting. This keeps the blade moving in a straight line and that keeps the teeth from chipping or breaking off from the blade disk. The stock blade is a very good blade but it can be hard to find as a replacement. I like the Freud Diablo blade as a replacement blade for this tool. The handle is extremely nice compared to any of the other metal cutting saws I've held. It is a very small lightweight saw and has no pommel so it is obviously designed to cut one handed. The hook is a really nice feature and seems very sturdy. It conveniently flips out for use and folds away easily. The 5mm hex key for blade changes has an on tool storage space and stays in place well. I own many battery platforms and had plenty of choices for a metal cutting saw but would buy this one again if I had to replace it. I hope this review is helpful.

Cuts 1-1/2 inch 80-20 aluminum extrusion
I bought this hoping that it could cut 80-20. I was able to cut all of the pieces in the picture using a 6 ah battery from fully charged down to one of the three battery indicator lights showing. It may have been able to cut a couple more pieces, but this was all I needed today. I did not time it, but I think it takes about 20 seconds to cut a 1-1/2 by 1-1/2 piece of 80-20. This was with the stock blade. It also cuts steel DIN rail and steel all-thread pretty easily and wood is no problem. So for occasional use at least, this does exactly what I need, and it is very light and easy to handle. I like it a lot!

The bees knees for cutting commercial steel doors
I run a business installing commercial hollow metal doors among other things. I have had this saw around 9 months at this point and I have to say this has changed the way I work. I no longer dread cutting off the bottom of a steel door that scrapes on the floor. I made an aluminum saw guide out of some plate stock that I clamp onto the door and use for a fence for this saw. It cuts through a steel door like butter. My only complaint is cutting all the way through a door in one pass does bog down the smaller motor a bit more than I'd like to see, but take it slow or make a pass from each side and it flies through doors. So much less heat and almost no sparks compared to using an abrasive cutting wheel, and the finished cut requires only a little touch up with a mill file compared to an abrasive - cut door which never has a clean edge. I currently use it with my 4 amp hr batteries and I can usually cut a couple of doors on a charge, thick doors really only one door per charge, I look forward to seeing what it can do with an 8 amp hr core battery

This saw saved me hours with a hand grinder
I have been showing most of my friends and family how this saw cuts metal. They are all amazed!I bought this saw because I had built a chain link fence to enclose my orchard(about 1-1/4 acre. I had to size all the top rails 1-5/8" pipes and cut off about 30- 3" pipe while it was standing. I could not believe the ease that this saw did the job. I was done in an hour and half and only used 3-4 amp/hr batteries. YEA Bosch!

Works
I use this saw to cut re-bar with no issues. Go slow, straight and be consistent, and the blade will last a long time. Great time saver. With the new 8 AH batteries, it lasts all day.

Maybe a bit underpowered.
I used this to cut a rectangular duct a bit shorter, then to bend S & Drives. It works way better that using snips our double cuts to make a straight line. A definite sheet metal guys tool fort he box.

Bosch quality
This saw will cut metal and wood. It is said to have a high torque motor for metal cutting, which means lower rpm. Not sure what I was expecting, less plastic and more torque. It works well but I am surprised how easily the blade jams in cuts. That is why corded saws run at much higher rpms, inertia. :) I used it to cut out some old 3/4 inch floor boards with nails in them. Worked well going through the occasional nail, but jams if the feed rate is too fast, or not a perfectly strait cut. Just ok, not very impressed.

Excellent results from this compact saw
This tool is light weight and has enough power to make nice cuts in sheet metal I have used it to make very nice cuts in 1/4" steel sheets.
