So far, so good, but have a mechanic do a once over
So far, so good. Yes, they bang these out in China. They come over in a huge container ship. Have a mechanic give it a once over. Our handlebar was loose, needed to be tightened. Seat wouldn’t open because not setting properly. THEN kept stalling out. Dirt in the carb. Give it a flush out before heading out. Not starting. Ugh!! Just needed a new spark plug. One from China was wrong one.None of these things are a big deal for what the thing costs. Even if you spend $1000 fixing it up with new parts, the thing is a bargain.Got it up to 35 with 2 people on, weight of about 280. More than enough for what we want it for. I would be scared to go above 30.I will update if it all goes bad.

I really like this scooter
I see some critical reviews. For what it costs, I don't know what people expect. The reason I bought the Maddog, is the size. I sat on the Honda Ruckus at a dealer, it didn't have foot pegs like the Maddog (stock) and it was much too short (I cannot bend my knees fully to get on most scooters). It took me a few weeks to break in the scooter, but now it starts up easier and It rides great. I am 6'1'' 265 lbs and the scooter can handle me easily (even going uphill inclines). I didn't buy this for a daily commuter to get to work/school (so I cannot give a perspective on that). Where I live it wouldn't be safe to travel on a lot of roads on a scooter (even a 150cc). I got a 50cc so I didn't have to get a motorcycle license, and just to joy ride on less busy roads. I am very glad I got this scooter. I put 4 stars because it probably use a little tweaking on starter/idle to make it easier when it is new. Even the kick start doesn't always work. But after a month of using, now it seems to start much better.

Pretty Piece of Trash
It looks good and sounds like it’s made of high quality..... then I got it, and immediately starting having issues with it. The fuel pump and vacuum lines are garbage. Had to replace half of the parts from the cheap Chinese parts to quality Japanese parts. Oh by the way it only had 32 miles on it at that point. It doesn’t turn easily and it has zero ability to go up hill. It struggles so much that it sucks the fuel line dry and stalls out. I have barely put 65 miles on it and have already replaced a fuel pump, vacuum lines, battery, rear shocks, and break pads.DO NOT BUY THIS Piece of crap

Good Looking Piece Of Junk
I bought this scooter for its unusual, head turning good looks...but thats as far as it goes. Mechanically it's a nightmare...very cheap Chinese 50 cc engine and very slow. I upgraded everything on the engine including a big bore kit to give it more power... still very slow and unreliable...I broke down 4 times in one month...last repair cost me $400 parts and labor. I no longer trust this scooter and would not recommend it to anyone. I keep it for its good looks and neighborhood driving only. I recently bought the Honda Monkey 125 and am totally pleased ...it is beautiful and has great performance and speed...a top quality bike in every respect...

Complete crap.
I bought this at a local shop in Terre Haute, Indiana. I also paid over $300 extra for a big bore kit which I'm not sure I got. The scooter never got over 40 mph with the 80cc upgrade, unless I was going down hill with a good wind at my back. Uphill against the wind it would slow to a dangerous 25 or less, not a good idea when everyone else is traveling at 35 mph or faster.Within the first 6 weeks:Tail light assemble that also holds the license plate, just cracked in two, dumping my plate somewhere on the road, never found it. Speedometer and odometer quit working after 3 weeks. Electric starter quit working, maybe due to a bad battery, within the first week. Rear turn signal bulb went out after about 2 weeks. No one carries the exact replacement on this continent as far as I could find. It started sputtering and stalling a lot after a month. Gas gauge shows empty when it's half full. Front tire has a slight squeal to it after 5 weeks (800 km). There is no warranty unless you want to ship it to China.Someone did me a favor and stole it from outside CVS pharmacy last week. Do not buy this piece of crap scooter.

Do NOT buy this cheap Icebear scooter
I bought this scooter brand new online........and sold it with less than 100 miles on it for pennies on the dollar. This Icebear scooter is cheaply made. Most of the parts on this scooter is made from cheap plastic parts. Save your self the headache and do not buy this scooter.
